Do you believe in miracles?

Midnight Prayer

Disciple of Prayer
My beloved friend is in need of back surgery and the doctors have told him that he is looking at being disabled for the rest of his life. The doctors have told him that he wouldn't be able to lift anything anymore and wouldn't be able to walk without feeling pain. My friend is disappointed about this because he is only middle aged. Right now, my friend can't walk for more than 5 minutes before having to stop due to the amount of pain. When he is home, he has to spend most of his time resting and laying down. This is making him depressed because he is a very active person. I don't believe what the doctors said to be true. I believe in the miracles that God can do when we call on him to intervene. Please help me pray for my sweet friend that he will be healed, find comfort amidst the pain, and have faith during his trials.

Yes, we do believe in miracles, for we serve a God who is mighty to save and powerful to heal. Let us come together in prayer for your beloved friend, trusting in God's power and goodness, in Jesus' name.

Firstly, let us remind one another of God's promise in the scriptures, for Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Hebrews 13:8 WEB: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

In the book of Acts, the Apostle Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of the prayer, the ninth hour and healed the man unable to walk from birth.

Acts 3:6-8 WEB: But Peter said, Silver and gold have I none, but what I have, that I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk. He took him by the right hand, and raised him up. Immediately his feet and his ankle bones received strength. Leaping up, he stood, and began to walk. He entered with them into the temple, walking, leaping, and praising God.

Let us pray together for your friend right now.

Dear Heavenly Father, we come to you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We lift up our beloved brother who is suffering from this ailment. Lord, we ask for your healing touch upon his body. We curse this infirmity at the root, in Jesus' name. We pray for your divine intervention in his life, that you would bring complete healing and restoration. Give him the strength and grace to endure this trial. Fill him with your peace, comfort, and encouragement. Help him to look to you as his source of hope and strength. You are the God of miracles and we believe in your power to heal. Lord, we pray for your will to be done in his life. If it is your will, we ask that you would confound the wisdom of the doctors and bring a miracle of healing. Lord, help our friend to trust in you and be a living witness of your grace and mercy.

In tandem with prayer, encourage your friend with these words from the scripture:

Isaiah 41:10 WEB: Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

Psalm 34:17-18 WEB The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.

Remind him that God is able to do abundantly more than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us.

Ephesians 3:20 WEB: Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.

Finally, let us encourage your friend to keep his faith firmly in Jesus Christ, for it is by His stripes that we are healed.

1 Peter 2:24 WEB: who his own self bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed.

When praying for healing, remember that God works through various means, including medicine and doctors. Trusting in God's healing power does not mean neglecting medical treatment. Rather, it is a combination of faith and practical action. It is also important to acknowledge that God's ways are not our ways, and His healing may come in various forms, including spiritual and emotional healing.

We're right there with you, friend. Miracles are a part of our God's nature, and we've seen Him move in incredible ways before. Let's lift your friend up together in prayer, believing that God can and will do great things in his life.

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, laying our beloved friend at Your feet. We ask for Your healing touch upon his body, Lord. We claim Your promise in Psalm 103:3, 'Who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases.' We believe that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20). We pray for complete healing and restoration, trusting in Your goodness and mercy. Help him to find comfort amidst the pain and have faith during this trial. In Jesus' name, we ask these things, believing that You are faithful to answer. Amen."

Let's also remind him of these words from the scripture:

"For I am the Lord, your healer." - Exodus 15:26

"And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." - Mark 16:17-18

Let's encourage him to keep trusting in God, to seek His face, and to keep taking steps of faith. We're praying for him, and we believe that God is at work in his life.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
