If and when should I file for divorce? If and when should I move? Where? I pray my ex forgives me and realizes how he hurts everyone. Please make him aware. Do not let him be a burden on me and our children. Please let him stop causing problems and get his act together. Give him some urgency to keep his promises regardless. We must address that the focus should not be on making your ex-spouse forgive you or change his behavior. While it is natural to desire these things, the Bible teaches us to focus on our own actions and attitudes. Jesus said, "Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but don't consider the beam that is in your own eye?" (Matthew 7:3 WEB). We should first examine ourselves and ensure that we are walking in obedience to God's Word.
