Divine guidance

Kensem

Beloved of All
“When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild. But whoever obeys the law is joyful.”
Proverbs 29:18

Please pray in Jesus name that the former landlord submits to God and accepts divine guidance. He and the people around him have been really wild and disrespectful, and they have caused a lot of trouble.

We join with you in seeking God's will together in Jesus' name and we thank you for bringing this burden before the Lord. We understand how painful and frustrating it is when a former landlord and those around him act in a wild and disrespectful way and cause a lot of trouble, and we agree that divine guidance is desperately needed.

The scripture you shared is so true, as Proverbs 29:18 says, Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but one who keeps the law is blessed. When people reject the Lord's counsel and His law they indeed run wild, but there is joy and peace for those who walk in obedience to Him. We also remember Proverbs 3:5-6 which says, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. And Psalm 32:8 says, I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. This is the guidance we long for your former landlord to receive.

We also hear your heart for justice and peace and we want to encourage you to continue to entrust this situation to God rather than carrying the weight of anger or retaliation. Romans 12:18-19 says, If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. And Jesus calls us to a higher way in Matthew 5:44 where He says, But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you.

We lift this up together in prayer.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we ask for Your divine guidance to break through in this situation. We pray that You would soften the heart of this former landlord and draw him to submit himself to You, to humble himself before You and to accept Your counsel and Your law. Lord, where there has been wild and disrespectful behavior, bring conviction by Your Holy Spirit and lead him and those around him to repentance and to the joy that comes from obedience to You. We ask that You would restrain further trouble and cause strife to cease, and that Your peace would rule over this matter. We also pray for the one who submitted this request, that You would grant wisdom as James 1:5 promises, that if anyone lacks wisdom to ask of You who gives generously, and that You would guard their heart with Your peace and help them to walk in forgiveness and trust in Your justice. Let Your will be done and let Your name be glorified in how this is resolved. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

Thank you for bringing this situation to us. Living through disrespect and ongoing trouble from a former landlord and those around him can be exhausting, and we understand why you are asking for God's guidance over him.

We join you in praying that he would turn toward God and be open to His leading. When a heart softens toward the Lord, attitudes and actions often change in ways arguments alone cannot produce. At the same time we are praying for your own peace and steadiness as you walk through the aftermath of what has happened.

One thing that has helped others in lingering landlord tensions is to keep the focus on what you can steward before God now. Continuing to pray for him while also choosing clear, calm boundaries helps keep the conflict from growing. If there are still practical loose ends like property, money or communication, it can help to have a trusted pastor or wise friend aware of the situation so you are not carrying it alone, and to keep any needed communication brief and documented.

Father, we lift this former landlord and his circle to You. Draw him to Yourself and guide him toward what is right and respectful. Give our friend wisdom, protection and quietness of heart as You lead them forward. We ask this in Jesus name, amen.

Your request has been heard and we bring it before the throne of grace together with you, pleading the promise that when divine guidance is despised men run wild, but joyful is the soul that obeys the law of the Lord.

We pray in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord that the former landlord may be brought to submit himself to God. At present, as you have described, there is wildness and disrespect and much trouble, and such things are the sure fruit of a heart that has not yet owned its true Landlord. For the house in which we dwell in this life has God for its Landlord and we are only tenants, and there is a clause in every man's lease that the great Landlord has at all times the right to enter and claim His own property. May the Lord in mercy enter that man's heart, convince him of sin, and cause him to offer up the key of his house to God and acknowledge that he lives on sufferance as His tenant.

We ask that the Lord, who says I will call them My people which were not My people, and her beloved which was not beloved, would work such grace in this man and in those around him who have joined with him in disrespect. The same God who said they are not My people can in the very place where it was said, call them the people of the living God. When the Lord says to any, You are My people, their sin is put away. We pray that this word of mercy may be spoken to him, that his wildness may be subdued by the Spirit of God, and that he may be made to know and to consider his Owner.

We pray also for you, that the Lord who has a people and who comforts His people would comfort you in this trial. He deals with His own differently from others, chastening for their present and eternal good, and He will not leave you without His presence in the furnace. May He restrain all evil, turn trouble into peace, and give you that quietness which comes from trusting not in man but in the Lord who is able to save to the uttermost all who come unto God by Him.

We ask these things not that wildness should be excused or blessed, but that it should be forsaken through repentance and faith in Christ, and that obedience and joy may come in its place. May the Lord grant divine guidance to be received and obeyed, to His own glory.

We leave you and this former landlord in the hands of our gracious God, praying that His will be done and His name hallowed, through Jesus Christ our Redeemer. Amen.

We have heard your request and we join you in prayer before God concerning this difficult situation with your former landlord.

You quoted Proverbs truly, that where there is no guidance the people run wild, but joyful is the one who keeps the law. It is right to desire that all people would submit to God and walk in His ways, for His guidance alone brings order and peace to the heart.

We pray with you in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and salvation. Father, we ask that You would work in the heart of this former landlord and in those around him. Bring him to see his need for You, grant him repentance and faith in Christ, and lead him to submit to Your divine guidance. Where there has been wild and disrespectful behavior and much trouble, bring conviction, restraint, and a desire for what is right. Let Your peace rule where there has been strife.

We also pray for you, that God would guard you in this trouble. Scripture calls us to follow peace with all people and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord. God is not a God of war and fighting, and He calls His children to be peacemakers. The troubles of this world, even when they press hard through conflicts over money or property or honor, cannot take away the treasure we have above in Christ. Much conflict springs from love of the things of this life, but when our hearts are set on what is eternal, we are freed to let go of bitterness and to not repay evil for evil.

So we encourage you to seek that peace which Christ gives, which is stronger than any outward disturbance. Do not rush into conflict, but wait on the Lord, entrust justice to Him, and choose to remember no evil. The more another wars against you, the greater the opportunity for you to show the character of God and to be called His child by living at peace as far as it depends on you.

May the Lord keep you joyful in obedience to Him, give you wisdom in all dealings with this landlord, and cause His gospel of peace to be known in this situation. We ask that He would bring quiet where there has been trouble, and that He would be glorified both in bringing the landlord to Himself and in sustaining you.

We continue to pray that God will guide you daily and keep you close to Christ.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
