Divine guidance

Kensem

Beloved of All
“When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild. But whoever obeys the law is joyful.”
Proverbs 29:18

Please pray in Jesus name that the former landlord submits to God and accepts divine guidance. He and the people around him have been really wild and disrespectful, and they have caused a lot of trouble.

We join with you in Jesus' name and bring this situation before the throne of grace, asking for divine guidance to prevail where there has been wild and disrespectful behavior.

You have rightly quoted Proverbs 29:18, Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but one who keeps the law is blessed. When people reject the counsel and revelation of God, they indeed run wild, casting off restraint, and trouble follows for everyone around them. We see this clearly in what you have endured with your former landlord and those around him. Such lawlessness and disrespect is not pleasing to God and we rebuke that spirit of strife and dishonor.

We pray for this former landlord and his circle, that their hearts would be softened and that they would submit to God and accept His divine guidance. We pray that the Lord would draw them to repentance and to obedience. We remember the call in Proverbs 3:5-6, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. We ask that God would open their eyes to see that their wild way leads to destruction, and that true joy and peace only come through obeying His law and walking in His ways.

We also pray for you, that the Lord would guard your heart from bitterness and give you His peace that passes understanding. Even when others cause trouble, we are called to pursue peace and to entrust justice to God. Romans 12:18 says, If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. And Romans 12:19 reminds us, Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. We pray that you would be able to forgive as Christ forgave us, and to love those who have wronged you, as Jesus taught in Matthew 5:44, But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you.

Let us pray together.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We lift up this former landlord and all those around him who have acted wildly and disrespectfully. Lord, we ask that You convict their hearts, that You bring them to submit to Your authority and to accept Your divine guidance. Turn them from their restless and troublesome ways and lead them into obedience to Your law, that they might find the joyful and blessed life You promise to those who keep Your ways. Restrain the trouble they cause and let Your order and righteousness be established. We also lift up the one who has been troubled by them. Grant comfort, protection, and restoration. Heal any hurt or frustration and help us all to walk in forgiveness and peace, trusting that You are a just God who sees all things. Let Your will be done in this situation and let Your name be glorified. We ask all this in the name of Jesus, who is our only way to You and our only hope of salvation, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord's guidance daily and to trust that as you obey His word, He will direct your paths and give you joy even in the midst of difficult people and circumstances. Yahweh will keep you in perfect peace as you keep your mind on Him.

We are praying with you about this situation with your former landlord. It is exhausting and discouraging when someone in a position of responsibility acts wildly and disrespectfully, and leaves others to deal with the trouble.

We hear your heart in asking that he would turn toward God and receive guidance. We cannot make that choice for him, but we can ask the Lord to work in his life and to give you wisdom and steadiness as you move forward. Wanting order and peace in your community is a good and right desire.

When there has been ongoing friction like this, it can help to sort what is yours to carry and what is yours to release. If there are still practical loose ends with the tenancy, keeping a clear, brief record and seeking wise, calm counsel from a pastor or a trusted mediator can protect your peace and keep things from escalating. At the same time, releasing the need to set things right on your own can free your heart, even while you do not excuse what was hurtful.

Father, we lift this former landlord to You and ask that You draw him toward Yourself and guide him into more respectful ways. We also lift our friend who prayed, asking You to guard his heart from bitterness, to give him discernment for any next steps, and to fill his home and community with Your peace. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your burden has been heard and we join you in bringing it before the throne of grace. The word you have quoted is true, when people do not accept divine guidance they run wild, but whoever obeys the law is joyful. Where there is no restraint of the fear of God, disorder and disrespect will abound, for God is light and in Him is no darkness at all, and He can have no fellowship with darkness.

We pray in the name of Jesus Christ alone, through whom alone there is salvation and peace with God, that your former landlord may be brought to stand in the light and deal honestly with God. May the Lord who is the great Landlord of all souls grant him to see his condition as it is, to confess his sin without misrepresentation, and to feel his need of the blood of Jesus Christ which cleanses from all sin. We do not ask God to bless wildness or wrongdoing, but we ask that He would bring conviction, repentance and a new heart. May this man and those around him be turned from running wild to submitting to divine guidance, to setting his house in order before God, and to rendering to his Maker what is due in truth and righteousness.

For you who have been troubled by this, we pray also that you may know the perfect peace which comes only from God. Peace with God is the treaty made by the blood of Christ, and peace in the conscience is the publication of it. When we are justified by faith we have peace with God through Jesus Christ our Lord, and that peace remains even when sorrows surge around and when duties press. Leave your cause with Jesus, who judges righteously, and rest in His grace to keep you. May the Lord bless His people with peace, and keep you walking in the light where fellowship with Him is found.

Father, we ask in the name of Jesus that You would work in this landlord to bring him to repentance and faith, that he may submit to Your guidance and walk in Your law, and that You would guard the one who prays from bitterness and grant joyful obedience. Amen.

We join you in bringing this burden before the Lord and we will pray with you in the name of Jesus.

You quoted truly from Proverbs that when people do not accept divine guidance they run wild, but whoever obeys the law is joyful. That wildness and disrespect you have experienced brings real trouble, and it is right to ask God to work in the heart of your former landlord and those around him, that they would turn to Him and submit to His guidance rather than continue in that way.

Scripture calls us to follow peace with all men and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord, and reminds us that blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called sons of God. God is not a God of war and fighting, and He calls His people to be at peace even when others choose conflict. When we are wronged, especially in matters of money or property or honor, the loss touches only earthly things. Our true treasure is above, and no one can steal that from us. The greater calling is to not let conflict produce enmity in our own hearts, and not to hold onto remembrance of wrongs, but to remain at peace with Christ. That peace is different from the peace the world gives. The world’s peace is often external and unstable, but the peace Christ gives keeps us steady even when trouble comes from others.

So we pray for you as well, that the Lord would guard your heart from bitterness, help you to despise strife over earthly things, and strengthen you to walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit, with patience and quiet trust as you wait on Him.

Let us pray together. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son we come before You. We ask that You would draw this former landlord to Yourself, open his eyes to Your truth, and grant him a heart that submits to You and accepts Your divine guidance. Turn him from wild and disrespectful ways to obedience that leads to true joy. Bring conviction where there has been wrongdoing, and lead him and those around him into repentance and a new life in Christ. For our brother and sister who has been troubled by this, grant peace that passes understanding, protection from further harm, wisdom for every practical step that remains, and grace to live at peace with all people as far as it depends on them. Help them to rest in the reconciliation You have already accomplished through Christ and to keep that peace. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our only Savior, Amen.
