Divine guidance

Kensem

Beloved of All
“When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild. But whoever obeys the law is joyful.”
Proverbs 29:18

Please pray in Jesus name that the former landlord submits to God and accepts divine guidance. He and the people around him have been really wild and disrespectful, and they have caused a lot of trouble.

We join with you in bringing this situation before the Lord in Jesus' name and we thank you for sharing this burden with us. We hear how difficult this has been, dealing with a former landlord and those around him who have been wild and disrespectful and have caused a lot of trouble, and we understand your desire to see them submit to God and receive His divine guidance.

The verse you shared is so true, as it is written Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but one who keeps the law is blessed. Proverbs 29:18 When people reject the Lord's instruction and His ways, disorder and strife follow, but when hearts are surrendered to Him there is peace and joy and restraint. We pray that God would bring that revelation and restraint into this man's life and into the lives of those around him.

We also remember that the heart is in the Lord's hands, as it is written The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires. Proverbs 21:1 No one is beyond the reach of God's convicting and transforming power, and we pray that He would soften this landlord's heart, turn him from disrespect and troublemaking, and lead him to repentance. We pray He would give him a new heart and a new spirit, as He promises I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. Ezekiel 36:26

We pray together now. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we lift up this former landlord and all those around him who have been acting wildly and causing trouble. Lord, we ask that You convict them by Your Holy Spirit, that they would see their need for You and submit themselves to Your divine guidance and to Your law. Bring them to repentance and to the knowledge of Your truth, that they would turn from disrespect and strife and walk in obedience to You. We ask that You restrain any further harm or trouble and bring Your peace and order into this situation. We also pray for the one who submitted this request, that You would guard their heart from bitterness, give them Your peace that passes understanding, and help them to walk in forgiveness and wisdom. Help them to continue to love and pray even for those who have mistreated them, as Jesus taught But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. Matthew 5:44 We ask for Your protection and Your justice to prevail according to Your perfect will. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to entrust this matter to the Lord and not to seek revenge in your own strength, for it is written Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:19 And as much as it depends on you, If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Romans 12:18 Continue to pray for this man, that God would draw him to Himself, and continue to seek the Lord's wisdom and guidance for your own steps. God is able to bring peace where there has been turmoil and to use even this trial to display His grace and power.

We hear how heavy this has been. When a landlord and those around him act wild and disrespectful, it wears on your peace at home and makes everyday life feel unsettled. It makes sense you would ask God to step in with His guidance.

We join you in praying that he would become open to the Lord's leading and choose a more respectful path. While we pray for him, we also pray for you to have wisdom and steady calm as you navigate what has happened. It can help to keep your own heart from staying tangled in the trouble he caused.

One simple step that often helps in situations like this is to keep a brief written record of any further contact or issues, and to lean on a trusted pastor or wise friend for counsel about practical boundaries. That way you are caring for your own peace while still entrusting him to God.

Father, in Jesus name we bring this former landlord before You and ask that You would draw him to Yourself and guide his steps toward what is right and respectful. We ask for Your protection and peace over the one praying, for wisdom in each interaction, and for joy that comes from walking close to You. Amen.

Your request has been laid before the Lord and we join you in prayer concerning it, for the word is true that where there is no vision the people cast off restraint, but blessed is he that keeps the law.

It is well remembered that the house in which we dwell in this life has God for its Landlord and that we are only tenants. There is a clause in the lease which none may overlook, namely that the great Landlord has at all times the right to enter and to call His tenants to account. The rent that is required is a heart rendered up to Him in holy obedience, and the duty laid upon every tenant is to set his house in order and to offer the key of his house to the great Landlord and acknowledge that he lives on sufferance as His tenant. When a man refuses this, he indeed runs wild, as you have seen and suffered.

We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone there is salvation and peace with God, that your former landlord may be brought to submit himself to God and to accept divine guidance. We ask that the Lord in mercy would subdue what is wild and disrespectful, that He would grant repentance and a new heart, that this man and those around him may be reconciled to God through the blood of Jesus which alone can make peace. God has on His part prepared everything necessary for a perfect reconciliation and He sends the word of reconciliation that men should be at peace with Him. May that word take hold upon him, that he may no longer resist the Lord of the house but yield to Him.

And for you who have borne this trouble, we pray that you may know that perfect peace which belongs to him whose mind is stayed upon the Lord because he trusts in Him. Christ has left peace in the conscience, for peace with God is the fountain and peace in the conscience is the crystal stream which issues from it. It is not a false peace which cries peace where there is no peace, but the true peace which comes through the precious blood and through faith in Him who is our peace. May the God of Peace keep you, and may you be enabled to bear your sorrow with Him and to do the will of Jesus, for to do His will is rest.

We commit both you and this man to Him who is able to make the wild heart tame and to give great peace to all they that love His law, that nothing shall offend them. May you go in peace, for peace is the fit result of what the Saviour has done, and where His Spirit dwells as the sacred Dove there must be peace.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer request has been heard and I join with you in bringing it before the Lord in the name of Jesus Christ.

You quoted Proverbs well, that where there is no divine guidance the people run wild, but joyful is the one who obeys the law. It is right to desire that your former landlord and those around him would come under the guidance of God and walk in obedience rather than in wild and disrespectful ways.

Let us pray together that God in His mercy would draw this man to Himself, that he would submit to the Lord, humble himself, and receive the grace that leads to repentance and faith in Christ. Only when a person is at peace with God through Jesus can he truly be at peace with his neighbor. We ask that the Lord would soften his heart, turn him from strife, and teach him to walk in reverence and godly fear.

I also encourage you in your own trial to serve God acceptably with gratitude and without murmuring. Whatever trouble has been caused, do not let murmuring or hasty and disrespectful words take root in your own heart, but offer thanks to God in all things and humble yourself before Him. Much conflict in this life springs from the things of this earth, from covetousness and vainglory, and when a man steals money or honor he has not taken your true treasure which is above. Your treasure in heaven remains secure when your heart is fixed on Christ.

God is not a God of war and fighting, and He calls His people to be peacemakers. The more your brother wars against you, the greater the opportunity for you to show the character of the Son of God and to receive a greater reward. This does not mean we approve of wrongdoing, but that we do not hold remembrance of evil. Enmity grows from conflict, and remembrance of evil keeps us far from God, while remembering no evil sets us free and loosens the charges against us.

So we pray not only that the former landlord would accept divine guidance and cease from causing trouble, but that you would be kept in the peace of the gospel, which puts an end to the war between us and God. May the Lord guard your heart, keep you from vainglory and bitterness, and make you strong in that true peace which Christ gives, a peace that is not merely external but is peace with God and with one another.

Father, in the name of Jesus we ask that You would bring this landlord to submission to Your will, that he would hear Your word, repent, and walk in Your ways. Restrain what is wild and disrespectful, bring an end to fighting, and let Your law be obeyed with joy. And grant to the one who has been troubled patience, humility, and a heart that blesses those who have caused trouble, looking for the reward that comes from You. Amen.
