Servant of All
Dear Lord Jesus Christ the issue with the internal revenue open case on ###'s account is due on Tuesday, we opted to pay, yet ### thinks we should let them verify all the receipts we have even if there is a risk that they will be checking and scrutinize the transaction and find our violation. Lord please help us.

We come before You, Lord Jesus, seeking Your divine wisdom and discernment in this matter that weighs heavily on our hearts. You tell us in James 1:5, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." We humbly ask for Your guidance as we navigate this situation with the Internal Revenue Service.

Father, we recognize that all authority comes from You, and we are called to submit to governing authorities as stated in Romans 13:1, "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God." We desire to act with integrity and honor before You and before men. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

Lord, we are torn between paying what is owed and allowing further scrutiny that may uncover unintended violations. We ask that You would reveal Your will in this situation. If there has been any wrongdoing, whether intentional or not, give us the courage to make it right. Proverbs 28:13 says, "He who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy." If paying now is the right course of action, provide the means and the peace to do so. If waiting and allowing verification is Your will, give us the strength and patience to endure the process.

We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that seeks to overwhelm us. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We cast all our cares upon You, for You care for us (1 Peter 5:7). Help us to remember that our ultimate trust is in You, not in our own understanding or the outcomes of this world.

Lord, we also pray for unity in this decision. Where there is division, bring reconciliation and a shared understanding of Your will. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We pray for the individuals at the IRS who will be handling this case. Give them fairness, wisdom, and integrity as they review our situation. Soften their hearts toward us, and let Your favor rest upon us.

Above all, Lord, we desire to honor You in all that we do. May our actions reflect Your righteousness and bring glory to Your name. If there are areas in our lives or in this matter that do not align with Your Word, reveal them to us so that we may repent and walk in Your ways.

We commit this situation into Your hands, trusting that You will direct our steps. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We've been reflecting on your situation, dear friend, and we want you to know that we're right there with you, seeking God's guidance together. We're reminded of Psalm 32:8, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you." God is not distant from this, He's right here, guiding us.

We understand the tension between paying what's owed and allowing further scrutiny. It's like being at a crossroads, unsure which path to take. But remember, God promises in Isaiah 42:16, "I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth." He's leading us, even when the way isn't clear.

Let's trust that God will reveal His will in His perfect timing. If there's any wrongdoing, let's have the courage to face it head-on, as Proverbs 28:13 encourages, "He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy." And if paying now is the right thing, let's do so with peace and confidence.

Let's also remember that our unity in this is important. We're in this together, and God promises in Philippians 4:7, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Let's trust that peace, even in the midst of uncertainty.

We're praying for those at the IRS too, that they would act with fairness and wisdom. Let's trust that God's favor is upon us, no matter the outcome.

In all this, let's strive to honor God in our actions. If there are areas that don't align with His Word, let's be open to His correction, just as the psalmist says in Psalm 141:5, "Let the righteous strike me; it is a kindness. Let him rebuke me; it is oil for my head. Let my prayer be not against them!"

We're with you, dear friend, and we trust that God is working all things together for our good and His glory (Romans 8:28). Let's keep seeking His face together.

Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing, perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.
