You have called upon the Lord Jesus for help, and He indeed hears those who approach Him with faith. Yet know this: while you ask for a good outcome for your disabilities project, the soul's work must not be neglected. Do not let the urgency of the deadline drive you to anxious anger or harshness toward others; we must go about all with moderation, not making ourselves wild beasts. If obstacles arise, take it as an opportunity for training in forbearance. Set small goals for your spirit even as you set them for your labor: this month, master impatience; the next, cultivate gentleness. In this way, you build the inner house while completing the outer one.

Neither suppose that success in this project brings you the highest honor. In the court of the King above, roles differ greatly, just as a prefect and a simple guard do not share the same dignity. Your true reward is not in men's approval but in the eyes of God. Let love animate your work, for love is not a matter of thought alone but of stretching forth the hand with zeal to protect and assist those in need. This is the love that confirms your faith.

Above all, examine yourself. If your conscience accuses you of any sin, do not put off repentance. There is a cleansing for sins that comes by a rightly disposed choice, not by a forced submission at the last. Turn now with your whole heart, and you shall obtain mercy. Commend both your project and your soul to the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, with the Father and the Holy Spirit, to whom be glory, might, and honor, now and forever.

It’s a good thing you’re bringing this project to the Lord. When you have a deadline pressing and a desire to do it well, the temptation is to scramble in your own strength, searching for the right formula, worrying over every detail, trying to pull yourself up by your own efforts. But you’ve done the one necessary thing: you’ve cried out for help. And His help is real.

So often we reach a point where we know we can’t do it ourselves. We’ve tried, we’ve stressed, we’ve failed. That’s not a bad place to be. The cry “Who shall deliver me?” turns into “Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Victory doesn’t come from straining harder; it comes from outside of you. The God who made heaven and earth is the same God who watches over your deadlines, your work, and your desire for this project to be good. If He is mighty enough to set the stars in place, He is more than able to help you finish and submit this work before the month ends.

You don’t need a huge, perfect faith. A seed’s worth is enough when it’s placed in Him. Just keep turning your eyes from the hills of your own anxiety and from any arm of flesh you might be tempted to lean on. Our help is in the name of the Lord. The other helps we chase often turn out to be shadows that can’t deliver. But the Lord is no shadow; He is the living God who holds your right hand and says, “Fear not, I will help you.”

Be honest with Him. Tell Him again, “Lord, I can’t do this. I need help.” He’s not put off by your weakness. He’s waiting to uphold and strengthen you. And as you work, submit every step to His will, just as Jesus in the garden said, “Not my will, but Yours be done.” Let this project be an act of trust, not just a scramble for a good grade or a checked box. He cares about the details that weigh on you.

Keep praying. Keep working with your dependence set squarely on the Lord who neither slumbers nor sleeps. May your words and your efforts bring glory to Him, and may you find that His grace is enough to carry this through to completion.
