We hear the deep pain and injustice in your words, and we stand with you in this season of trial, lifting you up before the Lord who sees all things and will bring justice in His perfect timing. The spiritual attacks you describe are real, but we remind you that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came to give life abundantly. You are not forgotten, and your suffering has not gone unnoticed by the Father.
The betrayal, humiliation, and abuse you endured in your workplace are grievous, and we grieve with you over the unjust treatment that led to your resignation. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He knows the number of hairs on your head (Luke 12:7), and He has seen every tear you have shed (Psalm 56:8). The fact that you continued to act with professionalism and diplomacy in the face of such mistreatment is a testament to the strength God has already placed within you. Yet, we also recognize that this ordeal has left deep wounds, and we pray for the Lord’s healing touch upon your mind, body, and spirit.
The question of “why” is one that many of God’s faithful have asked in seasons of suffering. Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers, falsely accused, and imprisoned unjustly, yet God used it for good (Genesis 50:20). David was hunted by Saul, betrayed by those he trusted, and yet he wrote, “It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I may learn your statutes” (Psalm 119:71). Your pain is not wasted. The Lord is refining you, and He will use this season to draw you closer to Himself, to strengthen your faith, and to prepare you for what lies ahead. Two decades were not wasted—they were years of labor, and the Lord will redeem them. He is not unjust; He will not forget your work and the love you have shown for His name (Hebrews 6:10).
We commend you for seeking forgiveness, even as it is a process. Forgiveness is not excusing what was done to you, but releasing the burden of bitterness so that the Lord can heal your heart. Jesus said, “But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you” (Matthew 5:44). This is not easy, and it is only possible through the power of the Holy Spirit. We pray that the Lord will give you the grace to forgive fully, not for the sake of those who wronged you, but for your own freedom and peace.
As for your immediate needs—your housing and provision—we declare that the Lord is your Provider (Jehovah Jireh). He owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and He will not abandon you. The threat of eviction is real, but so is the promise of God: “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness” (Isaiah 41:10). We pray that the Lord will open doors for you to find favor with your landlord, whether through a payment plan, a temporary reprieve, or another solution that only He can provide. We also pray for divine connections—people whom the Lord will place in your path to assist you in this time of need.
Regarding employment, we declare that the Lord will restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25). He will lead you to a place of work where you are valued, respected, and compensated fairly. The skills and experience you have are not lost; the Lord will use them in a new season. We pray that He will give you wisdom as you seek opportunities, that He will open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8), and that He will grant you favor in the eyes of potential employers. Do not be discouraged by the delay, for the Lord’s timing is perfect. While you wait, seek Him first, and trust that He will add all these things to you (Matthew 6:33).
We also want to address the spiritual attacks you mentioned. When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him (Isaiah 59:19). Put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18): the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Pray in the Spirit at all times, and stand firm. The Lord is your refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2), and no weapon formed against you will prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Lastly, we want to encourage you to lean into the body of Christ during this time. Isolation can magnify the enemy’s lies, but fellowship with believers can bring strength, prayer support, and practical help. If you are not already connected to a Bible-believing church, we urge you to seek one out. The Lord did not design us to walk through trials alone.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is walking through a valley of deep suffering and uncertainty. Lord, You see the injustice they have endured—the betrayal, the humiliation, the abuse, and the financial hardship. You are a God of justice, and we ask that You would vindicate them in Your perfect timing. Father, we pray that You would be their Defender, their Provider, and their Healer.
Lord, we ask that You would surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Comfort them in their distress, and remind them that they are not forgotten. Restore their self-confidence, not in their own strength, but in the knowledge that they are fearfully and wonderfully made by You (Psalm 139:14). Heal the wounds of rejection and betrayal, and fill them with Your love that casts out all fear (1 John 4:18).
Father, we pray for provision. You know their need for housing and income, and we ask that You would open doors that no man can shut. Provide for them in ways that only You can, whether through a miracle, a job opportunity, or the generosity of others. Lord, let them see Your hand at work in their life, and let their testimony be one of Your faithfulness.
We pray for their heart as they seek to forgive those who wronged them. Lord, give them the grace to release bitterness and the strength to pray for those who persecuted them. Heal their heart, Lord, and let them experience the freedom that comes from forgiveness.
We rebuke the spiritual attacks against them in the name of Jesus. Satan, you have no authority here. We declare that our brother/sister is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against them will prosper. Lord, send Your angels to encamp around them (Psalm 34:7), and let them dwell in the secret place of the Most High (Psalm 91:1).
Father, we ask that You would lead them to a place of employment where they are valued and treated with dignity. Restore the years that the locusts have eaten, and let them flourish in a new season of Your blessing.
Most of all, Lord, draw them closer to You. Let them know You in ways they never have before. Let this season of trial be a season of intimate fellowship with You, where they learn to trust You more deeply and to rest in Your sovereignty.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who sympathizes with our weaknesses and intercedes for us at the right hand of the Father. Amen.
We urge you to continue seeking the Lord daily, to saturate yourself in His Word, and to trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Do not lose heart. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep moving forward. Your breakthrough is coming.
