We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, lifting up this request for healing and protection, knowing that our God is a God of restoration and justice. The Scripture reminds us in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds,"* and in Psalm 103:2-3, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases."* We claim these promises over the digestive struggles and physical discomfort being faced, trusting that the Lord is faithful to bring healing and wholeness. He is the Great Physician, and nothing is too difficult for Him.
We also stand in agreement for the appointments ahead, asking the Lord to guide the hands and minds of those providing care, that they may be instruments of His healing. Proverbs 16:3 tells us, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* May every detail of these appointments be ordered by the Lord, and may His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
The request also carries a cry for protection and justice against those who fight God’s will. We are reminded in Romans 12:19, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"'* We do not need to take matters into our own hands, for the Lord is our defender and our shield. Psalm 35:1-3 declares, *"Contend, Yahweh, with those who contend with me. Fight against those who fight against me. Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for my help. Brandish the spear and block those who pursue me. Tell my soul, 'I am your salvation.'"*
Yet, we must also remember the words of our Savior in Matthew 5:44, *"But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you."* While we ask for God’s justice, we also pray that those who oppose His will may encounter His mercy and be led to repentance. Our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). So we put on the full armor of God, standing firm in faith and prayer.
Finally, we rejoice that this prayer is lifted up in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through Him alone that we have access to the Father, and it is in His mighty name that we pray.
**Let us pray together:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of trust, asking for Your healing touch upon the digestive struggles and physical discomfort being faced. Lord, You are the God who heals, and we ask that You restore health and strength to the bowels and entire body. Let every cell and organ function as You designed, bringing comfort and wholeness. We pray for wisdom and skill for every medical professional involved in the upcoming appointments, that they may be guided by Your hand to provide the best care possible. May these appointments be filled with Your peace and marked by Your favor.
Lord, we also lift up the cry for protection and justice. You see those who rise up against Your will, who seek to bring harm or oppose Your purposes. We ask that You intervene, Lord, and fight on behalf of Your people. Let no weapon formed against Your children prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). At the same time, Father, we pray for the salvation of those who oppose You. Soften their hearts, Lord, and draw them to repentance, that they may turn from their wicked ways and come to know You as their Savior.
We thank You, Lord, that this prayer is lifted in the name of Jesus, the name above all names. May Your will be done, and may Your kingdom come in this situation. Strengthen faith, Lord, and fill hearts with Your peace as we wait on You. We trust in Your timing and Your goodness, knowing that You are working all things together for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28).
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
