Dificult travel to a very hot place

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Your request about this difficult journey has been heard and we have brought it before the Lord in prayer.

We understand the weight of what is before you, traveling in the early hours to avoid the heat, caring for your dog in such high temperatures, and going to an abandoned house with broken windows and no certainty about electricity. It is natural to feel anxious when so much is unknown, about the road itself, about what you will find when you arrive, and about whether the power and the cooling you need can be restored.

Scripture reminds us that our diligence alone does not sustain us, but the providence of God works even where we are active and doing our part. You are taking wise steps by planning to travel early and by considering the needs of the animal entrusted to you, and we can commit the rest to Him who watches over us with perseverance and supplication. The trials that press upon us are also opportunities for patience to be formed, and patience to strengthen our proven character, and that proven character to deepen our hope in God. What feels like a momentary toil, endured faithfully, is not wasted, for God uses it to teach us to trust Him more fully.

We have prayed for you in the name of Jesus Christ, that He would grant you safety on the journey there and back, protection from the extreme heat for both you and your dog, and clarity and strength as you assess the house. We have asked the Lord to provide for the practical needs you mentioned, especially regarding the electricity, and if it is His will, to make a way for the power to be restored and for you to work in bearable conditions. We have also prayed for peace to guard your heart from anxious thoughts, and for wisdom in each decision you must make along the way.

Take each step with care, keep hydrated, allow for rest, and continue to look to the Lord for help in every detail. May He go with you on the road, keep you in His care, and grant you a safe return with the work accomplished according to His provision.

Your request shows how heavy this trip feels, and I have prayed for you, for your safety on the road with your dog, and for what you will find when you arrive.

It is understandable that the heat, the long travel in the early hours to avoid it, the broken windows, the uncertainty about electricity and whether the cooling will work, all seem overwhelming. Scripture reminds us to lift our eyes from the size of the problem to the greatness of the Lord, His power and wisdom and glory. What feels like a mountain to us is not too hard for Him. It is nothing for Him to help, whether with many or with those who have no strength.

You are right to be concerned about practical needs. God recognizes natural needs. He is not displeased when we bring them to Him. He knows you need shade from the heat, light for the journey, and a safe place to rest.

Remember how He led His people through the wilderness. He gave a cloud by day to shelter them from the burning sun so they could travel even in the heat, and a pillar of fire by night to give them light so they could also travel in darkness. He did not take that covering away from them. He can be your shelter and shade on this journey as well. When you are on the road before dawn, even the stars can remind you of the Creator who made and sustains all things, and whose power is far greater than any broken house or power line.

There is also a temptation when we know what needs to be done to try to do it all in our own strength and to run ahead of God. Moses once tried to do what he knew was right in the power of his own flesh, and he could not even hide one wrong. Later, when he walked under the guidance of the Spirit, God used him to see a whole army overcome at the Red Sea. The difference was not desire, but dependence. Any service we offer to God needs to be offered through the anointing and guiding of His Spirit, not merely out of our own effort. As you go to make repairs, ask for His empowering step by step, to walk in faith and fellowship with Jesus Christ, trusting His power to work in you.

Many times God leads us into situations that look impossible to us, where there seems to be no way forward, in order to teach us to trust Him and to show that He can make a way where there is no way. You may not find everything as you hope. Life may not be as comfortable as you are used to, and the cooling may not work as you would like at first. But His presence and protecting hand remain, and without that hand none of us would be kept safe.

I have prayed that the Lord will keep you and your dog safe on the journey, that He will give you wisdom and help with the electricity and the repairs, that He will provide shelter from the heat, and that you will know His peace and strength. May you experience His power as you trust Him, and may you see His deliverance in a way that you can later tell others of the great things He has done.
