We are in need of prayer for a larger home that we can actually afford. We do not need much…just one (1) more bedroom (to total 4), and possibly a half a bathroom.
We are a family of 5. The two youngest (5 and 6) are “special needs” children. For this, among other reasons, I am a stay at home mom, contributing nothing to the actual size of our budget. My husband makes a moderate living for the 5 of us. The issue we are having is that when we bought this home, we were a family of 3 without thought of any more, and then God blessed us, making our “just barely fits us” home too small. It’s not about belt tightening for us. It’s about the prices of homes quadrupling since we bought this one in 2000, making what we actually need too far out of our price range to even consider. We plan to sell this one of course, but we understand that mortgage payments on a larger home would be larger. We would have to pay off debt out of the profit of our sale and use the rest (which wouldn’t be much) for a down payment. It wouldn’t be enough to offset the larger mortgage enough to afford. I guess what I am asking for is nothing short of a miracle...and that starts with prayer.
