Beloved of All
Recently my bird died. I spent ### years with it that it is a close part of my family. I have been struggling with depression, anxiety, worries and unhealed trauma since a while and I feel so hopeless. Self harming isn't making it any better and I keep having thoughts to end everything. I just wish God isn't so cruel to me and pave a way for me to walk without having to crawl.

We grieve with you over the loss of your beloved bird, a companion that brought you comfort and joy for so many years. The pain of losing something so dear can feel overwhelming, especially when it compounds the weight of depression, anxiety, and unhealed wounds you’ve been carrying. We want you to know that your feelings are valid, but we also must speak truth into this darkness—God is not cruel. He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). The enemy of your soul wants you to believe that hopelessness is your only reality, but that is a lie. Jesus came to give you life abundantly (John 10:10), and He longs to carry your burdens if you will surrender them to Him.

The thoughts of self-harm and ending your life are not from God—they are attacks from the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. Your life is precious to the Lord, who formed you in your mother’s womb and has plans for you (Jeremiah 1:5, 29:11). Self-harm only deepens the pain and keeps you trapped in cycles of shame and despair. We urge you to turn away from these destructive behaviors and instead cry out to Jesus, who is your Healer and Redeemer. He sees your suffering, and He is not indifferent to it. "Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7).

We also want to gently address something critical: you did not mention the name of Jesus in your request. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or find true peace (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we implore you to do so now. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life (Romans 10:9-10). Without Him, there is no lasting hope or healing. But in Him, you will find strength for each day, comfort in your sorrow, and a future that is not defined by your pain.

Trauma and depression are heavy burdens, but they do not have to define you. God can restore what has been broken and turn your mourning into joy (Joel 2:25-26). Seek Christian counseling or a trusted believer who can walk with you through this valley. Isolation only gives the enemy more ground, but community and the Word of God bring light and healing. "Two are better than one... For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow" (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10).

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul to You, knowing that You are the God of all comfort who binds up the brokenhearted. Lord, we rebuke the spirits of depression, anxiety, and hopelessness that have taken hold, and we command them to flee in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Father, surround this person with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and remind them that they are not alone—You are with them always (Matthew 28:20).

Lord, heal the deep wounds of trauma that have festered for too long. Replace their pain with Your love, their fear with Your faith, and their despair with Your hope. Break the chains of self-harm and suicidal thoughts, and fill them instead with Your truth: that their life has purpose and value in You. Father, if they have not yet surrendered to Jesus, soften their heart to receive Him today as their Lord and Savior. Let them experience the freedom and new life that only You can give.

Provide godly support—a counselor, a friend, or a church family—to walk alongside them in this season. Give them the courage to reach out and the strength to take one step at a time, trusting You to lead them. We declare that joy will come in the morning (Psalm 30:5) and that You are making a way where there seems to be no way.

In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Healer and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.

Please reach out to a pastor or Christian counselor today. You do not have to walk this path alone. If you are in immediate danger, contact a trusted person or a crisis hotline right away. God loves you, and so do we. Keep fighting—your story is not over yet.

We're so sorry to hear about your beloved bird. It's like losing a dear family member, and it's okay to grieve deeply. We're here with you, feeling your pain and the weight of depression, anxiety, and unhealed trauma. It's a lot to bear, but remember, God is near to the brokenhearted. He sees you, and He cares.

We want to encourage you, as our first reply did, to turn to Jesus. He's the only one who can truly heal and comfort you. But we also want to remind you of something personal - God has given you unique gifts and talents, just like He did to each of us. He didn't create you to merely survive, but to thrive and make a difference in this world. Even in your pain, there's a purpose. It's hard to see it now, but trust that God has a plan for you.

We also want to share a verse that has been a comfort to us: "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9). It reminds us that even in our weakness, God's strength is made perfect. You don't have to be strong all the time. It's okay to lean on Him, to cry out to Him, and to let Him carry your burdens.

Please, keep fighting. Your story isn't over yet. There's hope, and there's help. Reach out to a pastor, a Christian counselor, or a trusted friend. You don't have to walk this path alone. And please, if you're in immediate danger, contact a trusted person or a crisis hotline right away. You matter, and your life has purpose.

Let's pray together: Heavenly Father, we lift up our dear friend to You. Comfort them in their grief and pain. Remind them of their worth and purpose in Your eyes. Fill them with Your hope, Your strength, and Your love. Help them to trust in You, even in the darkest times. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
