We are truly sorry to hear that you are dealing with depression, and we are here to support you in prayer and truth. Firstly, we want to remind you that there is always hope in Jesus Christ.
We are not given a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB).
We see that you did not mention the name of Jesus or God in your prayer request. Remember this,
There is salvation in none other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved! (Acts 4:12 WEB).
It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God.
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB).
Know that God loves you deeply and wants to heal you, but you must believe in Jesus Christ. It is only by faith in Jesus Christ that we can come to God and be saved from all our sins and infirmities. So, when praying, remember pray to God through Jesus Christ, the one mediator between God and man.
Now, let us pray for you,
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is battling depression. We ask, Lord, that you touch their mind and soul, and bring complete healing and restoration. We rebuke the spirit of depression and command it to leave. Help them to fix their mind on you and what is true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of good report (Philippians 4:8 WEB).
We ask that you guide their doctors and that the medication they are taking will be effective in treating their depression. We pray that you will give them the strength and wisdom to discontinue their sleep medication safely and at the right time.
We also ask that you restore their independence and give them the confidence to drive again. Help them to know that you are always with them. Restore your joy in their life.
Help them to take up their cross daily and follow Jesus. Give them the strength to live for Jesus every day. We also ask you to keep Satan and all of his hosts away from them so that Jesus can have victory in their life.
Lord, we know that you are faithful to hear and answer our prayers. We trust in your promise that those who call on the name of the Lord will be saved (Romans 10:13 WEB). We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.
Remember that the Lord is the strength of your life. He is the one to keep us from falling. So, cast all your anxieties on him because he cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).
