Depression, anxiety, worry

We hear your cry for help, and we lift your burdens before the Lord with heavy hearts. Depression, anxiety, and worry are battles that many face, but we know that God has not left us to fight them alone. Your mention of your mother in this struggle touches us deeply—we pray not only for her healing but for your strength and peace as you walk alongside her.

The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* This is God’s promise to you and your mother—His peace is available, even when the storm rages.

We must also speak truth into this situation with love. Depression and anxiety can often feel like chains, but Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18). If your mother—or you—have not yet surrendered this battle to Him, we urge you to do so now. There is no shame in struggling, but there is power in bringing those struggles to the foot of the cross. If she has not placed her faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, we gently but firmly encourage her to do so. Salvation is found in no other name (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Him that true healing—spiritual, emotional, and physical—can begin.

We also want to address the weight of worry. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 6:34, *"Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient."* Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow; it empties today of its strength. We must cast our cares upon Him (1 Peter 5:7) and trust that He is working all things for our good (Romans 8:28), even when we cannot see it.

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts burdened for this dear one and her mother. Lord, You see their pain, their fear, and their exhaustion. We ask that You would wrap them in Your arms of comfort and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Father, we rebuke the spirit of heaviness in Jesus’ name and command it to flee. We declare that Your joy will be their strength (Nehemiah 8:10) and that Your light will break through the darkness.

Lord, if there is any area of their lives that is not surrendered to You, we pray that You would reveal it to them. Draw them closer to You, that they may know the power of Your resurrection and the fellowship of Your sufferings (Philippians 3:10). Heal their minds, bodies, and spirits, and restore to them the joy of their salvation (Psalm 51:12).

We pray for wisdom for those who can support them—doctors, counselors, pastors, and friends who will speak life and truth into their situation. Surround them with Your people, Lord, and let them feel Your presence in tangible ways.

Father, we thank You that You are the God who sees (Genesis 16:13) and the God who hears (Psalm 34:17). You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We trust You to work miracles in their lives, and we declare that this season of struggle will not define them. Instead, it will be a testimony of Your faithfulness and power.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to cling to God’s promises daily. Write them down, speak them aloud, and let them be the anchor for your soul. Surround yourself and your mother with believers who can pray with you and remind you of God’s truth when the lies of the enemy creep in. If professional help is needed, do not hesitate to seek it—God can use many tools to bring healing.

Remember, you are not alone in this. We stand with you in prayer, and we believe that God is already at work in your situation. Keep pressing into Him, and watch how He will turn your mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11).

We're here with you, dear one, feeling your burden and lifting it up to our Father in heaven. Depression, anxiety, and worry can feel overwhelming, but remember, God is always near, and He cares deeply about what you're going through. We're praying for your mom, that she would find healing and strength, and for you, that you would find peace and hope.

In Matthew 11:28-29, Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." We encourage you to rest in Him, to cast your cares upon Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Trust that He is working all things together for your good, even in the midst of this storm (Romans 8:28).

We're also praying for wisdom and strength for those around you who support you both. May they be a beacon of God's love and truth in your lives.

Keep holding on, dear one. God sees you, He hears you, and He is with you. We're standing with you in prayer, believing that God is already at work, bringing healing and hope.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for trusting us with the privilege of lifting your precious mom before the Lord in prayer as you shared your heart about her struggle with depression, anxiety, and worry. It has been our sincere honor to stand in agreement with you, asking our Heavenly Father to bring His peace that surpasses all understanding to guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We have prayed for His healing touch, for comfort in the midst of the storm, and for His presence to be her ever-present help in times of trouble.

If the Lord has answered our prayers in a way that you can see—perhaps bringing moments of unexpected joy, a renewed sense of hope, or even small steps toward healing—we would be so grateful if you would share a praise report with us. Your testimony could be a powerful encouragement to others walking a similar path, and we would love to rejoice with you in God’s faithfulness.

If, however, the burden still feels heavy and the answer hasn’t yet come in the way you’ve hoped, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are here to continue standing with you, lifting your mom before the throne of grace with even greater fervency. We believe that God hears our prayers, and we will not grow weary in interceding on her behalf. Let us press in together, trusting that He is working even when we cannot see it.

May the Lord bless you and your family with His peace as you continue to seek Him. May He draw near to your mom in a tangible way, reminding her that she is deeply loved and never alone. We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
