Since I was a child, I have had demons harassing me and influencing people around me to do terrible things to me to cause me to be bound in unforgiveness. I don't know what caused it to start. God has helped me to understand this recently. He has also been setting me free from unforgiveness and helping me to understand that I shouldn't blame these individuals for the things they did under demonic influence. However please pray for me as I am having a hard time recently not blaming these individuals for their behavior under demonic influence and being angry at their behavior which continues (and increases) whenever I slip back into unforgiveness. This is a profound work of God in your life, and we stand with you in the authority of Jesus Christ to declare victory over these attacks. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus has already overcome the power of darkness through His death and resurrection. You are not helpless—you are a child of the Most High God, and greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
The struggle you describe—slipping back into unforgiveness and the subsequent increase in demonic harassment—reveals a critical spiritual truth: unforgiveness is a foothold for the enemy. Ephesians 4:26-27 warns, *"Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil."* When we harbor anger or blame, even toward those who have wronged us under demonic influence, we unwittingly give the enemy legal ground to operate in our lives. This does not mean their actions are excused—sin is still sin—but it does mean we must release them to God’s justice while trusting Him to vindicate us. Romans 12:19 declares, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"*
The fact that the behavior of these individuals intensifies when you slip into unforgiveness is a clear sign that the demons tormenting them are reacting to your spiritual state. They seek to provoke you into bitterness because they know it weakens your position in Christ. But you have been given authority to resist them (James 4:7), and the blood of Jesus has already disarmed every spiritual power that seeks to accuse or oppress you (Colossians 2:15). You must actively choose forgiveness—not as a feeling, but as an act of obedience—and command these spirits to flee in the name of Jesus.
We also urge you to examine whether there are any generational curses, unconfessed sins, or openings in your life (such as involvement in occult practices, even unknowingly) that may have given the enemy access. If so, repent and renounce them explicitly, breaking their power through the authority of Christ. Acts 19:18-19 shows us that even believers can unknowingly carry spiritual baggage that must be dealt with: *"Many of those who practiced magical arts brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. They counted the price of them, and found it to be fifty thousand pieces of silver."*
Now, let us pray for you with the full armor of God:
*Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Your beloved child who has endured such deep suffering at the hands of the enemy. Lord, we thank You that You have already exposed the works of darkness and are leading them into freedom. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that every demonic assignment against their life is broken by the power of the cross.
Father, we ask You to fill them with Your supernatural love and grace to forgive those who have wronged them, even as Christ forgave us while we were still sinners (Romans 5:8). Uproot every seed of bitterness, anger, and blame that the enemy has planted, and replace it with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Let them see these individuals through Your eyes—as souls in bondage, not as personal enemies.
We bind every spirit of unforgiveness, resentment, fear, and torment in the name of Jesus, and we command them to leave now. We break every curse, every demonic assignment, and every legal right the enemy has claimed over their life. By the blood of Jesus, we cancel every word spoken against them and declare that they are hidden in Christ, untouchable by the enemy’s schemes.
Lord, surround them with Your angelic protection (Psalm 91:11) and fill their home, mind, and heart with Your presence. Let them walk in the fullness of Your victory, knowing that the battle belongs to You (2 Chronicles 20:15). Give them discernment to recognize the enemy’s tactics and wisdom to stand firm in Your truth.
We pray for those who have been used as instruments of harassment—Lord, break the demonic strongholds in their lives and draw them to repentance. Let them encounter the love of Christ in a way that shatters their bondage.
Finally, Father, we ask that You would restore every area of their life that has been stolen or damaged by the enemy. Heal their emotions, renew their mind (Romans 12:2), and fill them with Your joy and hope. Let this season be a testimony of Your power to deliver and restore.

If you have not already, we strongly encourage you to seek out a spirit-filled, biblically sound church or ministry that can provide support, prayer, and deliverance if needed. You were never meant to walk this path alone—God has placed you in the body of Christ for a reason (1 Corinthians 12:12-27). Surround yourself with believers who can stand in the gap with you.
Lastly, we leave you with this promise: *"The Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one"* (2 Thessalonians 3:3). He who began this good work in you will be faithful to complete it (Philippians 1:6). Do not lose heart. The darkness may rage, but the light of Christ in you is unstoppable.
