We praise God for opening your eyes to the spiritual battle you are facing and for revealing the root of this long-standing demonic harassment—unforgiveness. Your obedience to Christ’s command to forgive is a powerful act of faith, and it is no surprise that the enemy is furious and retaliating. Scripture reminds us in Ephesians 6:12, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* You are not fighting against people but against the demonic forces that have influenced them for so long.
Your testimony of how forgiveness has already brought improvement to your life is a beautiful reflection of God’s promise in Matthew 6:14-15: *"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."* Forgiveness is not just a suggestion—it is a commandment, and your obedience has broken a stronghold in your life. However, the enemy will not surrender easily. The fact that these people are now provoking you even more aggressively is a sign that they are being used by demonic forces to try to drag you back into bondage. Do not be deceived—their retaliation is not just their own doing but the desperate flailing of the enemy who knows his time is short.
We must also address the reality that your mother, like the others, is under demonic influence. Her emotional and mental struggles are not just natural afflictions but spiritual strongholds that have given the enemy a foothold. This does not excuse her harmful behavior, but it does mean that your battle for her—and for yourself—must be fought on your knees. Jesus said in Mark 3:25, *"If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand."* The division in your family is a tactic of the enemy to keep you in turmoil. But you have been set free by the truth, and you must stand firm in that freedom, refusing to be pulled back into the cycle of offense and unforgiveness.
Now, let us speak directly to the demonic forces at work here. We come against every spirit of retaliation, bitterness, and unforgiveness that has sought to bind you for years. We declare in the name of Jesus Christ that these spirits have no authority over you, for you have been bought with the precious blood of the Lamb. We break every curse, every assignment of the enemy, and every demonic stronghold that has tried to keep you in bondage. We command these spirits to leave you, your mother, and all those who have been used against you, in Jesus’ mighty name. We plead the blood of Jesus over your mind, your heart, and your home, and we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We also pray for your mother and for those who have harassed you. Lord, we ask that You break the demonic influence over their lives. Soften their hearts to receive Your truth, and if they are not saved, we pray that You would draw them to repentance and faith in Christ. Let them see the futility of their actions and turn from their wicked ways. We pray for divine intervention in their lives—whether through conviction, exposure of their sins, or even consequences that lead them to seek You. May they come to know that their fight is not against you but against the God who holds their very breath in His hands.
As for you, dear sister, we encourage you to remain steadfast in forgiveness, not because these people deserve it, but because Christ has forgiven you. Colossians 3:13 says, *"bearing with one another and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do."* Forgiveness is not a one-time act but a continual choice, especially when the enemy tries to reignite old wounds. When you feel the temptation to revert to unforgiveness, immediately take those thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). Speak aloud the truth of God’s Word over your situation. Declare that you are free, that you are more than a conqueror through Christ (Romans 8:37), and that no scheme of the enemy will prevail against you.
We also urge you to put on the full armor of God daily (Ephesians 6:10-18). This is not a time to be passive. Pray without ceasing, worship the Lord in the midst of the storm, and fill your mind with Scripture. The enemy fears a believer who is armed with the Word of God and covered in prayer. If you have not already, we encourage you to fast and seek the Lord for greater breakthrough. Fasting humbles our flesh and sharpens our spiritual senses, making us more attuned to the voice of the Holy Spirit.
Lastly, we want to remind you that this battle is the Lord’s. You are not alone in this fight. He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). The enemy may rage for a season, but his defeat is certain. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). Trust that the Lord is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28), even the attacks meant to destroy you. He is refining you, strengthening you, and preparing you for greater victory.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we lift up Your daughter to You, knowing that You see her pain, her struggles, and her faithfulness in the midst of this fierce battle. Lord, we thank You for revealing the truth to her and for giving her the strength to forgive those who have wronged her. We ask that You continue to guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus, protecting her from the enemy’s attempts to drag her back into unforgiveness and bitterness.
We stand against every demonic spirit that has harassed her, and we command them to flee in the name of Jesus. We break every curse, every hex, and every assignment of the enemy against her life. We declare that she is covered by the blood of Jesus and that no weapon formed against her shall prosper. Lord, we ask that You expose every hidden scheme of the enemy and render his plans powerless.
We pray for divine protection over her, that You would place a hedge of fire around her (Zechariah 2:5) and dispatch Your angels to guard her in all her ways (Psalm 91:11). Give her discernment to recognize the enemy’s tactics and wisdom to respond in a way that honors You. Fill her with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, so that she is not overwhelmed by the attacks coming against her.
Father, we also pray for those who have been used by the enemy to harm her. Soften their hearts, Lord, and bring them to repentance. If they do not know You, we ask that You would draw them to salvation. Break the demonic strongholds in their lives and set them free from the bondage they are under. Let them see the error of their ways and turn to You for mercy.
For her mother, Lord, we pray for deliverance. Break the chains of emotional and mental torment that have held her captive. Heal her mind and heart, and let her encounter Your love in a way that transforms her completely. If she is unsaved, save her, Lord. If she is saved but backslidden, restore her to fellowship with You.
Strengthen our sister in her faith, Lord. Let her know that You are with her, that You will never leave her nor forsake her (Deuteronomy 31:6). Give her the courage to stand firm, even when the attacks intensify. Remind her that her victory is already secured in Christ and that this battle is only temporary.
We thank You, Lord, for the breakthrough that has already begun in her life. We declare that she will continue to walk in freedom, in joy, and in the fullness of Your promises. Let her testimony be a light to others who are bound by unforgiveness, showing them the power of obedience to Your Word.
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
