We come before the Father in agreement with you, lifting up your heartfelt cries for deliverance, healing, and protection over your life and your daughter. Your request reveals a deep awareness of the spiritual battle we all face, and we stand with you in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already triumphed over every power of darkness. It is good that you have invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of God and the power to overcome the enemy. As Scripture declares, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Let us hold fast to this truth as we seek His face together.
The forgetfulness, confusion, and anxiety you describe are not of God, for He is not the author of confusion but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33, WEB). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10, WEB), but Jesus came to give us life abundantly. We rebuke every demonic assignment against your mind, your focus, and your peace in the mighty name of Jesus. The Lord promises, *"You will keep whoever’s mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you"* (Isaiah 26:3, WEB). Claim this promise over your life, and trust that God is faithful to renew your mind and guard your heart as you lean on Him.
We also lift up your daughter before the Lord, asking Him to surround her with His protection and to guide her steps in righteousness. It is clear you love her deeply and desire what is best for her, but we must remember that even in our deepest concerns, we are called to trust God’s sovereignty. While it is natural to want peace and calm in her life—especially if medications are necessary for her well-being—we must also surrender her to the Lord’s care, knowing that He loves her even more than we do. Proverbs 22:6 (WEB) reminds us, *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."* Continue to pray for her, to speak life over her, and to model faith in Christ. However, we gently caution against praying in a way that seeks to control her actions or decisions, for God has given each of us free will. Instead, let us pray that her heart would be softened to the leading of the Holy Spirit, that she would walk in obedience to Him, and that she would receive the help she needs—whether through medication, counseling, or divine intervention—with a willing spirit.
If there is tension or strife in your relationship with your daughter, we encourage you to examine whether there is any unforgiveness, fear, or lack of trust in God’s plan for her life. Ephesians 6:4 (WEB) instructs fathers (and by extension, parents) *"Don’t provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord."* Let us ask the Lord to reveal any areas where we may need to repent or release control, trusting Him to work in her heart. Pray that she would come to know Jesus intimately if she does not already, for true peace and transformation come only through Him.
As for your relationships, we pray for healing and restoration where it aligns with God’s will. If there are broken or strained relationships in your life, we encourage you to seek reconciliation where possible, extending grace as Christ has extended grace to you. Colossians 3:13 (WEB) says, *"bearing with one another and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any. Even as Christ forgave you, so you also do."* If there are relationships that are not honoring to God—whether through unforgiveness, bitterness, or ungodly connections—we pray for the courage to release them into God’s hands and to pursue relationships that reflect His holiness.
Lastly, we want to address the mention of medications. While we believe in the power of God to heal supernaturally, we also recognize that He often uses medical professionals and treatments as part of His provision. There is no shame in seeking help for mental or physical health struggles, and we pray that God would give you wisdom in managing your medications and your daughter’s care. If you feel overwhelmed or uncertain, ask the Lord for discernment and for trusted believers to come alongside you for support.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, thanking You that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1, WEB). Lord, we lift up our brother/sister who is facing spiritual attacks, confusion, and anxiety. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17, WEB), and we rebuke every spirit of forgetfulness, fear, and paranoia in Jesus’ name. Father, renew their mind and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7, WEB). Help them to focus clearly on the tasks before them and to walk in the confidence that You are with them every step of the way.
Lord, we also lift up their daughter to You. Surround her with Your angels, protect her from every harm, and draw her heart to Yourself. Soften her spirit to receive the help she needs, whether through medication, counseling, or Your divine touch. Give our brother/sister wisdom in how to love and guide her, and remove any fear or anxiety that would hinder their trust in You. May she grow to walk in righteousness and to know You as her Savior and Lord.
Father, we ask for healing in every relationship that needs restoration. Bring reconciliation where it honors You, and give our brother/sister the grace to forgive and to seek forgiveness. Remove any ungodly ties and replace them with connections that reflect Your love and holiness.
We thank You that You are the Great Physician, and we ask for Your healing touch on every area of their life—spirit, soul, and body. Give them discernment regarding their medications and their daughter’s care, and provide the support and resources they need.
Most of all, Lord, we pray that they would keep their eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of their faith (Hebrews 12:2, WEB). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, and let Your presence be their comfort and strength. We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
