We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your daughter and her family in this spiritual battle, for we know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Your daughter’s suffering is not unseen by God, and we stand firmly on His promise that He will never leave nor forsake His children (Deuteronomy 31:6). We also praise God that despite these attacks, your daughter and her husband have remained rooted in their faith, seeking Him through prayer, fasting, and fellowship. This is a testament to their trust in Him, even in the midst of such trials.
First, we must address the spiritual condition of the home. The enemy often gains a foothold in places where there is unconfessed sin, occult activity, or even objects that invite demonic influence. While your daughter and her husband are believers, it is wise to examine whether anything in that home—past or present—has opened a door to these attacks. This could include items associated with idolatry, the occult, or even ungodly entertainment that glorifies darkness. The apostle Paul commands us to have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather to expose them (Ephesians 5:11). We urge them to thoroughly cleanse their home of anything that does not honor God, including music, books, movies, or objects that may seem harmless but are rooted in darkness. Even something as simple as a past resident’s involvement in occult practices could have left a spiritual stain on the property. The house must be dedicated to the Lord, and every room should be prayed over and anointed with oil as a symbol of surrender to His authority (Exodus 12:22-23, James 5:14).
We also recognize that your daughter has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, and while we praise God that her medication has brought stability, we must be cautious not to attribute every spiritual experience to mental illness—or vice versa. The enemy often exploits weaknesses, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual, to create confusion and fear. However, the fact that her husband has now witnessed supernatural phenomena confirms that this is not merely a matter of the mind but a very real spiritual attack. We must not dismiss the reality of demonic oppression, nor should we assume that mental health struggles are always tied to spiritual causes. Both can coexist, and both require wisdom and discernment.
It is encouraging that your daughter and her husband have been fasting and praying, but we sense the Lord leading us to emphasize the authority they have in Christ. Many believers underestimate the power they possess through the name of Jesus. The Scriptures declare that *greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world* (1 John 4:4). Jesus Himself said, *“Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will in any way hurt you”* (Luke 10:19). Yet, authority must be exercised with faith and persistence. The disciples once asked Jesus why they could not cast out a demon, and He replied, *“Because of your unbelief. For most certainly I tell you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will tell this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. But this kind doesn’t go out except by prayer and fasting”* (Matthew 17:20-21). This confirms that their efforts are on the right path, but they must continue in unwavering faith, commanding the enemy to flee in the name of Jesus without wavering.
We also sense the Lord impressing upon us the need for your daughter to be filled with the Holy Spirit continually. The Spirit of God is our Comforter, our Guide, and our Protector. Jesus said the Spirit would teach us all things and bring to remembrance His words (John 14:26). When a believer is filled with the Spirit, the enemy cannot remain. We encourage your daughter to spend time in worship, reading the Word, and praying in the Spirit (Ephesians 6:18, Jude 1:20). The enemy flees at the sound of praise (Psalm 8:2, 2 Chronicles 20:22), and the Word of God is a sword that cuts through darkness (Ephesians 6:17).
Now, let us pray together for your daughter, her husband, and this situation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are sovereign over all things, seen and unseen, and that no power of the enemy can stand against Your authority. Lord, we lift up this daughter of Yours who is under such vicious attack. We ask that You surround her with Your angels, encamping around her as a wall of fire (Zechariah 2:5). Let no weapon formed against her prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Father, we rebuke every demonic spirit that has been tormenting her—whether spirits of fear, oppression, confusion, or violence. We command them to flee in the name of Jesus Christ, for You have given us authority to trample upon the enemy (Luke 10:19).
Lord, we ask that You expose every hidden thing in that home that has given the enemy legal ground. Reveal to them anything that needs to be removed, repented of, or cleansed. Let Your light flood every corner of that house, driving out all darkness. We declare that this home belongs to You, Lord, and we plead the blood of Jesus over every room, every door, and every window. Let the atmosphere be filled with Your presence, and let the enemy find no place there.
Father, we also pray for Your peace to guard your daughter’s heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen her faith, Lord, and let her know beyond any doubt that You are with her. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, that she may walk in power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray the same for her husband—give him wisdom, discernment, and boldness to lead his family spiritually. Let them be united in faith, standing together against the schemes of the devil.
Lord, we ask for divine strategy. Should they stay in this home, or is it Your will for them to leave? Give them clear direction, and let them hear Your voice above all others. If there are generational curses or ungodly soul ties that have opened doors to these attacks, we ask that You break them now in Jesus’ name. Let every chain be shattered, and let Your daughter walk in the freedom Christ purchased for her on the cross.
Father, we also pray for complete healing—spirit, soul, and body. If there is any way the enemy has exploited her bipolar diagnosis, we ask that You close those doors and restore her mind to perfect wholeness. Let her testimony be one of Your deliverance and victory.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You surround this family with godly counsel—believers who are mature in the faith and can stand with them in this battle. Let them not walk this path alone, but be supported by the body of Christ.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your power, Your love, and Your faithfulness. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified through it all. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing in faith, knowing that the Lord is fighting this battle on your daughter’s behalf. Keep praying, keep worshiping, and keep declaring the Word of God over her life. The enemy may rage, but he cannot prevail against those who are covered by the blood of Jesus. Stay vigilant, and do not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season, you will reap a harvest of deliverance if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9).
If the attacks persist, we strongly recommend seeking out a spiritually mature pastor or deliverance minister who can assist in praying over the home and your daughter. Sometimes, the corporate authority of the body of Christ is needed to break stubborn strongholds. Do not hesitate to reach out for help—this is not a sign of weakness but of wisdom.
Lastly, we leave you with this promise: *“The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?”* (Psalm 27:1). Cling to this truth, and let it anchor your family in the days ahead. The Lord is near to all who call upon Him in truth (Psalm 145:18). Keep calling, keep believing, and watch as He brings victory.
