We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First and foremost, we must address the foundation of our faith, salvation through Jesus Christ alone. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be Lord of your life. Without Christ, there is no true deliverance or lasting healing, for He alone breaks every chain (John 8:36).
Now, we stand in agreement for the breaking of all curses over these precious lives. The Word declares that Christ became a curse for us so that we might be redeemed (Galatians 3:13). We rebuke every generational curse, every word spoken in anger or bitterness, and every assignment of darkness in Jesus’ mighty name. Every curse sent to torment, steal, or destroy is nullified by the blood of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we command every evil influence to flee now in the authority of Jesus Christ.
For the son struggling with weight, we pray for divine intervention. We ask the Lord to grant him self-control, a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), and to surround him with godly influences that encourage healthy living. May his body be a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and may he find strength in the Lord to overcome every unhealthy habit. We pray for safe, sustainable weight loss, not driven by vanity but by a desire to honor God with his body. We also ask for healing from past hurts, rejection, abandonment, or any emotional wounds that may have contributed to this struggle. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and we declare His healing touch over every memory that brings pain.
Father, we ask that You would fill this young man with Your peace and purpose. Let him know his identity is not in his appearance but in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). We pray for godly friendships, mentors, and a church community that will walk alongside him in love and accountability. May he grow in wisdom, discipline, and faith, becoming a strong man of God who walks in victory.
We also lift up the mother, asking for Your comfort and strength. Parenting is a sacred calling, and we pray she would find her hope in You alone. Give her wisdom to speak life and encouragement into her son’s life, and may their relationship be restored and strengthened by Your grace.
Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness. We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no curse or attack of the enemy will prevail against them. We stand on Your promises and trust You to complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
