We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First and foremost, we must acknowledge that our access to God and the power to break every chain comes only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or set free (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to confess Him as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for this is the only way to true deliverance and eternal life (Romans 10:9).
Father God, we stand in the authority of Jesus Christ and rebuke every curse, generational bondage, and evil assignment that has been spoken or sent against this family. We declare that the blood of Jesus breaks every chain, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). In the mighty name of Jesus, we command every curse to be nullified, every evil report to be shattered, and every plan of the enemy to be dismantled. We plead the blood of Jesus over this mother and her son, covering them in divine protection and sealing them in Your righteousness.
Lord, we lift up this young man who is struggling with his weight and carrying the weight of past hurts. We pray for safe and sustainable weight loss, not by the world’s standards, but by Your design for health and wholeness. You created his body as a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and we ask that You guide him in honoring You with his choices—mind, body, and spirit. Give him discipline, wisdom, and a heart that seeks Your will above all else. Surround him with godly influences who will encourage him in this journey.
Father, we also ask for deep emotional and spiritual healing for this son. Past hurts can leave wounds that fester, but You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We declare that every lie he has believed about himself, every rejection, every betrayal, and every pain is covered by the blood of Jesus. Let Your love wash over him like a flood, replacing bitterness with forgiveness, shame with identity in Christ, and fear with faith. We speak life, restoration, and purpose over him. Let him know that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that his worth is found in You alone.
We also take a moment to address any areas where this family may need to align with Your Word. If there has been involvement in practices that open doors to the enemy—such as occult activities, unforgiveness, or unrepentant sin—we urge repentance and turning away from those things. The Bible is clear that we cannot serve two masters (Matthew 6:24), and light cannot dwell with darkness (2 Corinthians 6:14). We encourage this family to seek a Bible-believing church where they can grow in faith, be discipled, and find accountability.
Lord, we ask that You would draw this mother and son closer to You. Let them experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and Your joy that strengthens them (Nehemiah 8:10). We pray for godly friendships, mentors, and spiritual fathers and mothers to speak into their lives. May they walk in the freedom that Christ died to give them (Galatians 5:1), and may their testimony bring glory to Your name.
We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus, sealed by the Holy Spirit, and protected under the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91). No curse, no weapon, and no plan of the enemy will prevail against them. We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness, Your mercy, and Your power to save. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6), and we give You all the glory, honor, and praise.
