We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First, we must address the foundation of our prayers—it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to confess Him as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). Salvation is the first step to true deliverance and freedom.
Now, we stand in agreement with you, believing that every curse spoken or unspoken against these precious lives is broken in the mighty name of Jesus. The Word of God declares, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'" (Galatians 3:13). We rebuke every generational curse, every word of death or destruction, and every assignment of the enemy against this family. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Let the blood of Jesus wash over them, cleansing and protecting them from every evil influence.
For the son mentioned in this request, we pray for a supernatural release from the bondage of excess weight. Father, we ask that You would break every spiritual stronghold of gluttony, emotional eating, or any other ungodly tie that has contributed to this struggle. Your Word tells us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are to honor You with them (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We pray for discipline, self-control, and a renewed mind in Christ Jesus. Lord, guide him to healthy choices, surround him with godly influences, and grant him the strength to walk in freedom. We declare healing over his metabolism, his hormones, and every part of his body that has been affected by this struggle. May he experience the fullness of health that You desire for him.
We also lift up the deep wounds of the past that may still linger in his heart. The enemy seeks to use pain to keep us in bondage, but Jesus came to bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free (Isaiah 61:1). We pray that every memory of hurt, rejection, or trauma would be brought into the light of Christ. Let Your healing balm flow over his soul, Lord. Replace bitterness with forgiveness, sorrow with joy, and fear with peace. We declare that he is a new creation in Christ, and the old things have passed away (2 Corinthians 5:17). May he walk in the freedom and wholeness that only You can provide.
Father, we ask that You would draw this young man closer to You. Let him encounter Your love in a fresh and powerful way. Surround him with believers who will speak life into him, encourage him, and hold him accountable. We pray for godly mentors and friends who will point him toward You. May he grow in wisdom, faith, and maturity, becoming the man You have called him to be.
We also pray for the mother, that You would strengthen her faith and fill her with peace as she intercedes for her son. Give her wisdom in how to support and love him well. Let her trust in You deepen as she sees Your hand moving in his life.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we break every curse, cancel every assignment of the enemy, and declare freedom, healing, and restoration over this family. We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already theirs in Christ. May they walk in the fullness of all You have for them, to the glory of Your name. Amen.
