Deliverance

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and healing. First and foremost, we must address the foundation of our prayers—it is only through the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. For "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).

Now, we stand in agreement for the breaking of every curse that has been spoken or brought against these precious lives. The Word of God declares, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree'" (Galatians 3:13). We rebuke every generational curse, every word spoken in anger or bitterness, and every spiritual oppression that has taken hold. In the mighty name of Jesus, we command these curses to be broken and rendered powerless. "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord" (Isaiah 54:17).

We also lift up this young man, praying for his physical health and the safe loss of excess weight. Father, we ask that You would guide him in making wise choices regarding his diet and exercise. Give him discipline and self-control, for "the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control" (Galatians 5:22-23). Protect him from any harmful methods or quick fixes that could damage his body, which is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We declare healing over his metabolism and every organ in his body, trusting in Your promise that "by His stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5).

Beyond the physical, we pray for deep emotional and spiritual healing from past hurts. So many wounds leave scars that only You can mend, Lord. We ask that You would bring comfort to his heart, replacing pain with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Help him to forgive those who have wronged him, just as You have forgiven us (Colossians 3:13). Let him find his identity and worth in You alone, for "the Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart" (1 Samuel 16:7).

Heavenly Father, we also pray for this young man’s spiritual growth. Draw him closer to You, Lord, and let him experience the fullness of life that comes from walking in Your ways. Surround him with godly mentors and friends who will encourage him in his faith. May he grow in wisdom and stature, and in favor with You and with others (Luke 2:52).

We declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned. We cover them in the blood of Jesus, our Protector and Deliverer. Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Christ. We trust in Your promises and stand firm in the authority of Your name.

In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
