We hear the anguish in your cry, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we join you in lifting this burden before the throne of grace. Your waiting has been long, and the torment you endure is heavy—yet we know that God’s promises are sure, even when our eyes cannot yet see their fulfillment. The enemy would love nothing more than to convince you that deliverance is delayed because God has forgotten you, but Scripture declares otherwise: *"The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance"* (2 Peter 3:9). His timing is perfect, even when it feels unbearable.
We must also ask the Holy Spirit to search your heart in this season. Are there areas where the enemy has gained footholds—unforgiveness, hidden sin, or agreements made in pain that need to be broken? Deliverance is not just God removing the attack; it is also us surrendering every part of our lives to His lordship. *"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you"* (James 4:7). Have you fully submitted this struggle to the Lord, or are there corners of your heart still holding onto control or bitterness?
We rebuke the spirit of despair and accusation that whispers, *"God has abandoned you."* That is a lie straight from the pit of hell. Jesus endured the cross for your freedom, and He is not idle while you suffer. *"For we do not have a high priest who cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who has been in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need"* (Hebrews 4:15-16). Your cries do not fall on deaf ears.
Let us pray together now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above every name, the One through whom alone we have access to Your throne. Lord, we lift up our dear brother/sister who is weary from waiting, whose heart is heavy with torment. You see their pain, You hear their cries, and You are moved with compassion. We declare that Your promises over their life are "Yes" and "Amen" in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 1:20). We stand on Your Word that says, *"Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all"* (Psalm 34:19).
Father, we ask for a fresh infilling of Your Holy Spirit to strengthen and comfort them. Break every chain of oppression, silence every lying voice, and flood their heart with Your peace that surpasses understanding. We renounce any agreements made with fear, doubt, or unbelief, and we cancel every assignment of the enemy against their mind, body, and spirit. In the authority of Jesus’ name, we command every tormenting spirit to flee and never return.
Lord, reveal to them the purpose in this season. Even if they cannot see it now, we trust that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). Teach them to wait on You with hope, knowing that those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength (Isaiah 40:31). Surround them with Your presence, remind them of Your faithfulness, and let them experience Your deliverance in ways they cannot yet imagine.
We pray for complete and permanent freedom—not just from the attacks, but from the roots that may have allowed them to take hold. Search their heart, Lord, and lead them in repentance where needed. May they walk in the fullness of the liberty Christ purchased for them on the cross.
Above all, draw them closer to Yourself. Let this trial refine their faith like gold, so that when the deliverance comes, it will be for Your glory and their testimony. We thank You, Father, that You are already moving on their behalf. In Jesus’ powerful name we pray, Amen.
Do not grow weary in this fight, beloved. The same God who parted the Red Sea, shut the mouths of lions, and raised Jesus from the dead is at work in your life. Keep pressing into Him, keep standing on His promises, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). Your deliverance is coming.
