We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this cry for deliverance and protection. First, we want to affirm the power and authority of the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and through which we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is in His mighty name that we stand, pray, and rebuke every scheme of the enemy.
We stand with you in agreement, declaring that whom the Son sets free is free indeed (John 8:36). We pray for complete deliverance from every ungodly influence, attachment, or spiritual hindrance that has sought to entangle you. The enemy comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every spirit of delusion, obsession, or ungodly desire that has taken root in this situation. Every thought, imagination, and high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God must be cast down, and we take every thought captive to obey Christ (2 Corinthians 10:3-5).
We recognize that this request involves a relationship that does not align with biblical principles. The Bible is clear that believers are to marry only in the Lord (1 Corinthians 7:39), and we are to be equally yoked with fellow believers (2 Corinthians 6:14). A significant age gap, especially when it involves someone who may not share your faith or values, can lead to spiritual compromise and hardship. We must also address the reality that any romantic or emotional attachment outside of God’s design for marriage between one man and one woman is not His will. If this individual is not a believer, we must guard our hearts and minds, for the Lord warns us not to be bound together with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14-15).
We plead the blood of Jesus over this situation, declaring that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We bind every counterfeit spirit working through this individual and command it to leave in the name of Jesus. The Lord rebukes the devourer for our sake (Malachi 3:11), and we stand on that promise today. We pray that the Holy Spirit would bring conviction to this person’s heart, revealing the truth of God’s Word and the deception he has been under. May the scales fall from his eyes, and may he turn from any ungodly desires or intentions (Acts 9:18).
We also pray for your heart and mind to be guarded and strengthened. The enemy seeks to exploit our emotions and desires, but God’s Word tells us to guard our hearts above all else, for everything we do flows from it (Proverbs 4:23). We ask that the Lord would fill you with His peace, wisdom, and discernment as you navigate this situation. May He surround you with godly counsel and remind you of His unfailing love and faithfulness.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your love, Your mercy, and Your power to set the captives free. Lord, we stand in agreement with this prayer for deliverance, declaring that every chain must be broken, and every ungodly influence must be removed. We rebuke every spirit of delusion, obsession, or ungodly desire that has sought to entangle this situation. We command it to leave now, in the name of Jesus.
Father, we ask that You would bring conviction to the heart of this individual, that he would see the truth of Your Word and turn from any ungodly intentions. Remove every false idea or delusion from his mind, and replace it with the truth of Your love and Your will for his life. We plead the blood of Jesus over this situation, declaring that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper. We ask that You would restore everything that the enemy has stolen or hindered spiritually, emotionally, and relationally.
Lord, we also pray for Your protection and guidance over the one who has cried out to You. Guard their heart and mind, and fill them with Your peace and wisdom. Help them to walk in discernment and to seek Your will above all else. Surround them with godly influences and remind them of Your promises. May they find their hope and identity in You alone.
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. We declare that this situation is under the blood of Jesus, and we trust in Your perfect plan and timing. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and to immerse yourself in His Word. Spend time in worship, for the enemy cannot stand in the presence of praise (Psalm 22:3). Surround yourself with fellow believers who can offer godly counsel and accountability. Remember that God has a plan for your life, and His plans are for your good, not for harm, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). If this individual is not a believer, we strongly encourage you to release him to the Lord and to focus on building relationships with those who share your faith and values. Marriage is a sacred covenant, and it is vital to enter into it with someone who will walk with you in faith and obedience to God.
