Deliverance prayer

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for deliverance and mental well-being. The struggles of the mind and spirit are real, and we know that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). But we also know that our God is greater, and in His name, we stand against every scheme of the evil one.

First, we must address the foundation of our faith. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the first step toward true deliverance and peace.

Now, let us pray for deliverance and mental well-being. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We bind every spirit of fear, anxiety, depression, and oppression that is seeking to torment and destroy. We rebuke these spirits in the name of Jesus, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that the blood of Jesus covers and protects, and no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Lord, we ask that You break every chain of bondage and set the captive free. We speak healing and restoration to the mind, body, and spirit. We declare that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We pray for clarity, wisdom, and discernment to recognize the lies of the enemy and to stand firm on the truth of Your Word.

We also pray for strength and perseverance. The journey toward deliverance and mental well-being is not always easy, but we know that You are faithful. Help us to cast all our anxieties on You, because You care for us (1 Peter 5:7). Surround us with godly counsel and support, and remind us that we are never alone. You are our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

If there are areas of sin or unrepentance that are giving the enemy a foothold, we urge you to examine your heart and confess those sins before the Lord. The enemy cannot dwell where the light of Christ shines. If you are struggling with habits, addictions, or relationships that are not aligned with God’s will, we encourage you to seek accountability and turn away from those things. The Bible tells us to flee from sexual immorality and every kind of evil (1 Corinthians 6:18, 1 Thessalonians 5:22). If you are involved in a relationship that is not honoring to God, such as one that involves fornication, adultery, or homosexuality, we urge you to repent and seek God’s forgiveness. He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

Let us stand firm in the armor of God, so that we may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). We put on the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. We pray at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication, keeping alert with all perseverance (Ephesians 6:14-18).

Father, we thank You for Your love, mercy, and grace. We thank You that You are our Deliverer and our Healer. We trust in You and declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper. We walk in the victory that is ours through Christ Jesus. Strengthen us, Lord, and fill us with Your peace. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
