We join you in lifting up this cry for deliverance, standing firmly on the truth that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. You have done well to come before the Lord Jesus with praise and to seek His protection, for He alone is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. We are grateful you have invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the authority to overcome the enemy. As it is written, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB).
Your request reveals a heart under spiritual attack, and we stand with you in rebuking the enemy’s schemes. The jealousy and envy you describe are tools of the devil, meant to stir up strife and division. But we know that *"God is not a God of confusion, but of peace"* (1 Corinthians 14:33, WEB), and He has given us authority through Christ to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19, WEB). You have wisely claimed Zechariah 3:2, where the Lord rebukes Satan, saying, *"The Lord rebuke you, Satan! The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Isn’t this a burning stick plucked out of the fire?"* This is your declaration of victory—you are that burning stick, plucked from the fire by the hand of God, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper.
We also affirm your stand on Revelation 12:11, which proclaims that *"they overcame him because of the Lamb’s blood, and because of the word of their testimony."* The blood of Jesus is your protection, and your testimony of faith in Him is your weapon. Speak boldly against the envy and hatred directed at you, for *"no curse can touch Jacob, nor spell any trouble for Israel"* when they are walking in the Lord’s favor (Numbers 23:23, WEB). The enemy may plot, but the Lord will frustrate his plans. As it is written, *"The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing. He makes the thoughts of the peoples to be of no effect"* (Psalm 33:10, WEB). Trust in this truth: what the enemy means for harm, God will turn for your good (Genesis 50:20).
Now, we must also address the heart behind your prayer. While it is right to seek protection from harm, we are called to a higher standard—one of forgiveness and love for our enemies. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 5:44, *"But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you."* This does not mean you ignore the spiritual battle or fail to set boundaries, but it does mean you release bitterness and trust God to deal justly with those who seek your harm. Ask the Lord to soften your heart toward this person, that you may pray for her salvation and deliverance from the spirit of jealousy that binds her. Remember, *"If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head. Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good"* (Romans 12:20-21, WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is under attack. Lord, You see the jealousy and envy that has been stirred up against her, and we ask that You expose every hidden scheme of the enemy. Rebuke the accuser, Lord, as You did for Joshua the high priest, and declare that she is Your chosen one, plucked from the fire and covered by the blood of the Lamb. Let no weapon formed against her prosper, and let every tongue that rises against her in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we ask that You convict the heart of the one who seeks to harm her. Soften her heart, Lord, and break the spirit of jealousy and envy that has taken root. Let her encounter Your love in a way that transforms her mind and leads her to repentance. If she does not know You, Lord, draw her to Yourself, that she may find salvation in Christ Jesus.
We also ask that You guard our sister’s heart from bitterness or resentment. Fill her with Your love, Lord, that she may bless those who curse her and pray for those who spitefully use her. Let her response be one of grace and trust in Your justice, knowing that vengeance belongs to You (Romans 12:19).
Surround her with Your angels, Lord, and let Your favor be a shield around her. Let every plan of the enemy be thwarted, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen her faith, Lord, and remind her that she is more than a conqueror through Him who loved her (Romans 8:37).
We declare victory in this situation, Father, for the battle belongs to You. Let Your will be done, and let Your name be glorified. We ask all these things in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
