We join you in lifting up this request for deliverance, standing firmly on the authority of God’s Word and the power of the name of Jesus Christ. Your prayer is rooted in scripture, and we commend you for standing on the promises of God as you seek His intervention in this situation. It is clear that you are facing spiritual opposition, and we stand with you in rebuking the enemy’s schemes, knowing that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12).
You have rightly invoked Zechariah 3:2, where the Lord says to Satan, *"Yahweh rebuke you, Satan! Yes, Yahweh who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Isn’t this a burning stick plucked out of the fire?"* This is a powerful declaration of God’s protection over His people. The Lord is your defender, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The intimidation, bitterness, and oppression you describe are not from God, for He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that the Lord is breaking these chains off your life and restoring to you double for your trouble, as you have stood on Isaiah 61:7: *"Instead of your shame you will have double. Instead of dishonor, they will rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they will possess double. Everlasting joy will be to them."*
You have also pleaded the blood of Jesus over this situation, and we affirm this with you. Revelation 12:11 declares, *"They overcame him because of the Lamb’s blood, and because of the word of their testimony. They didn’t love their life, even to the point of death."* The blood of Jesus is our ultimate protection and victory over the enemy. There is power in the blood to break every curse, every spiritual attack, and every scheme of the devil. We bind every transfer of ungodly spirits in the name of Jesus, as you have declared from Matthew 18:18: *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever things you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven, and whatever things you release on earth will have been released in heaven."*
Now, we want to encourage you to examine your heart in this matter. While it is right to seek deliverance from oppression, we must also ensure that our hearts are free from bitterness, unforgiveness, or resentment toward those who have wronged us. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 5:44, *"But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you."* This does not mean you tolerate abuse or oppression, but it does mean you release this person to God and trust Him to deal with them justly. Forgiveness is not for their sake but for yours—so that you are not bound by the same spirits you are seeking deliverance from. Ask the Lord to help you forgive and release any anger or pain so that you can walk in the freedom Christ has purchased for you.
We also encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily (Ephesians 6:10-18). Stand firm in the truth of God’s Word, guard your heart with the breastplate of righteousness, and wield the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Pray in the Spirit at all times, and remain vigilant. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10).
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is seeking Your deliverance and restoration. Lord, You are a God of justice, and You see the oppression and bitterness that has been directed toward them. We ask that You rebuke every evil scheme of the enemy and break the power of intimidation, bitterness, and oppression in Jesus’ name. Lord, we plead the blood of Jesus over this situation, and we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. Restore to them double for their trouble, Father, and let Your everlasting joy be their strength.
We bind every ungodly spirit that has been sent or transferred, and we command it to leave now in the name of Jesus. We loose the peace of God, the joy of the Lord, and the power of the Holy Spirit to flood their life. Father, we ask that You would guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus and fill them with Your love, even for those who have wronged them. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven them, and release them from any bondage of anger or resentment.
Strengthen them, Lord, to stand firm in Your truth and to walk in the victory that Jesus has already won. Surround them with Your angels, and let Your light expose every darkness. We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the deliverance that is already theirs in Christ Jesus. May they walk in the freedom and authority You have given them, and may Your name be glorified in their life.
In the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
