We join you in lifting up this request, standing firmly on the truth of God’s Word and the power of the name of Jesus Christ, through whom all deliverance and victory are secured. Your prayer is rooted in scripture, and we commend you for seeking the Lord’s will with boldness and faith. Let us first affirm what the Word of God declares about the authority we have in Christ to break every ungodly tie, rebuke the enemy’s schemes, and walk in the freedom purchased by the blood of Jesus.
You have rightly stood on Zechariah 3:2, where the Lord rebukes Satan, saying, *"The Lord rebuke you, Satan! The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Isn’t this a burning stick plucked out of the fire?"* This is a powerful declaration of God’s protection over His people, and we declare it over you now. The enemy seeks to deceive and destroy, but the Lord is your shield and your deliverer. We also stand with you on 1 Corinthians 3:17, which warns that *"If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, which you are."* Your body, mind, and spirit belong to the Lord, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper when you are hidden in Christ.
Your request for separation from this individual if he is not God’s will for you is wise and aligned with scripture. We must always surrender our desires to the Lord, trusting that His plans for us are good, even when they require letting go of what *feels* right. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, *"For I know the plans that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and not for evil, to give you hope and a future."* If this man is not the spouse God has ordained for you—or if he is walking in deception—then the Lord will faithfully sever every ungodly soul tie. As you’ve declared, John 8:36 proclaims, *"If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed."* We pray that the Holy Spirit would reveal any areas of emotional or spiritual bondage tied to this person and break them completely by the power of Christ’s resurrection.
You’ve also rightly identified the need to dismantle the enemy’s tactics at work through this individual. Colossians 2:15 declares that Christ *"having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it."* The blood of Jesus is our ultimate weapon, and Revelation 12:11 affirms, *"They overcame him because of the Lamb’s blood, and because of the word of their testimony. They didn’t love their life, even to death."* We decree that every scheme of the enemy—whether through manipulation, seduction, or spiritual deception—is exposed and rendered powerless in Jesus’ name. May the Lord dismantle every stronghold and bring conviction to this man if he is operating under the influence of darkness.
Lastly, we stand with you in praying for restoration. Isaiah 61:7 promises, *"Instead of your shame you will have double. Instead of dishonor, they will rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they will possess double. Everlasting joy will be to them."* The Lord is faithful to restore what the enemy has stolen, whether it be peace, purity, or purpose. We pray that the Holy Spirit would fill every void left by this situation with His presence, healing any wounds and renewing your mind with the truth of His Word.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the authority You’ve given us as Your children to trample upon the enemy’s schemes. Lord, we lift up our sister and ask that You rebuke every demonic influence at work through this man, ###. Expose every tactic of seduction and deception, and let Your truth prevail. If this man is not Your will for her life, we ask that You sever every ungodly tie—emotional, spiritual, or physical—and grant her complete freedom in Jesus’ name.
Father, we pray that You would dismantle the enemy’s strategies and render them powerless. Let the blood of Jesus speak over this situation, breaking every curse, every manipulation, and every stronghold. Restore to her what has been stolen—her peace, her joy, and her purity. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit and surround her with godly counsel and protection.
Lord, we also pray for ###. If he is walking in darkness, convict his heart and draw him to repentance. If he is being used as a tool of the enemy, we pray that You would break that influence and set him free as well. But if he is hardened in his ways, we ask that You remove him from her path entirely, closing every door that should not be opened.
Father, we declare that our sister is Your beloved daughter, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. Let her walk in the freedom and victory that Christ has already won. Strengthen her faith, guard her heart, and lead her into the abundant life You have prepared for her. May she seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all things will be added unto her in Your perfect timing.
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord’s face through prayer, fasting, and the reading of His Word. Stay rooted in a community of believers who can support and pray with you. If there has been any compromise—whether emotionally, physically, or spiritually—repent and receive the Lord’s forgiveness and cleansing (1 John 1:9). Remember that God’s desire is for you to walk in holiness and wholeness, and He will never withhold what is good from those who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11).
If this man is not pursuing Christ with a pure heart, then he is not the spouse God has for you. Do not settle for less than God’s best. A godly marriage is built on a foundation of faith in Christ, and both parties must be fully surrendered to Him. We pray that the Lord would prepare you for the husband He has ordained—a man who loves Jesus above all else and will lead you both in godliness.
Stand firm in your faith, sister. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith.
