We join you in lifting up this powerful prayer of deliverance, standing firmly on the authority of Jesus Christ and the truth of His Word. It is clear that your heart is aligned with the Lord’s desire for freedom, repentance, and restoration—both for this individual and for the breaking of ungodly bonds that have ensnared her. We will pray with you, but we also want to take a moment to address a few important biblical principles to ensure our prayers are fully aligned with Scripture and the heart of God.
First, we commend you for invoking the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer, for it is only through His name that we have access to the Father and the power to see spiritual strongholds torn down. As Scripture declares, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Your prayer is rooted in the authority of Christ, and that is foundational. However, we must also remember that our prayers should not only seek deliverance *for* someone but also *from* the sin that may be fueling their bondage. Resentment, bitterness, and participation in occult practices—such as witchcraft, divination, or forced marriages through ungodly means—are grievous sins before the Lord. While we pray for this woman’s freedom, we must also pray for her repentance, for *"if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB).
The mention of an "anti-Christ marriage" is deeply troubling. Marriage is a sacred covenant established by God between one man and one woman, reflecting Christ’s relationship with His Church (Ephesians 5:31-32). Any union formed through witchcraft, coercion, or ungodly means is not a marriage in God’s eyes but a counterfeit—an abomination that must be broken by the power of Christ. We must pray not only for her deliverance from this bond but also for her to turn away from any involvement in the occult, which is explicitly condemned in Scripture. *"There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh"* (Deuteronomy 18:10-12, WEB). If this woman has been involved in such practices, her freedom will only come through genuine repentance and renouncing these sins before the Lord.
Additionally, your prayer highlights the danger of transferred spirits—bitterness, resentment, and curses being passed from one person to another. This is a real spiritual battle, and we must stand firm in binding these influences in Jesus’ name. However, we must also examine our own hearts to ensure we are not harboring unforgiveness or bitterness toward this individual, for *"if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses"* (Matthew 6:14-15, WEB). As we pray for her, let us also ask the Lord to guard our hearts from any root of bitterness that could defile us (Hebrews 12:15).
Now, let us pray together with you, standing on the promises of God’s Word and the power of the Holy Spirit:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are a God of justice, mercy, and deliverance, and that Your desire is for all people to come to repentance and be set free from the snares of the enemy. Lord, we lift up this woman before You, asking that You would break every chain of resentment, bitterness, and unforgiveness that has taken root in her heart. Your Word declares that *"if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed"* (John 8:36, WEB), and so we ask that You would loose her from these bonds by the power of Your Spirit.
Father, we stand against every witchcraft stronghold, every divination, and every ungodly soul tie that has been formed in her life. We declare that *"the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ"* (2 Corinthians 10:4-5, WEB). Lord, tear down these strongholds and set her free from the influence of the enemy. Break the power of any curses, spells, or ungodly covenants that have been spoken over her life, and let Your blood, Jesus, cover and cleanse her from all unrighteousness.
We specifically pray against the so-called "marriage" that was forced through witchcraft and divination. Lord, this is an abomination in Your sight, and we ask that You would sever this ungodly union completely. Let every demonic legal right be revoked in Jesus’ name, and let this woman be released from this bondage. Father, if she has participated in occult practices, convict her heart deeply of these sins and lead her to true repentance. May she turn away from these detestable things and seek Your face with a broken and contrite spirit.
Lord, we also ask that You would open her eyes to the pain and destruction her resentment has caused—both in her own life and in the lives of others. Soften her heart, Father, and let the fear of the Lord rest upon her, that she may see the gravity of her actions and turn to You for forgiveness. *"The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of knowledge; but the foolish despise wisdom and instruction"* (Proverbs 1:7, WEB). Let her come to know You as her Savior and Lord, and let her walk in the freedom and peace that only You can provide.
We bind and rebuke any transfer of evil spirits—bitterness, resentment, curses, or any other ungodly influence—that may seek to attach to those praying for her or to those around her. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we declare that these spirits are bound and cast out, and we ask You, Lord, to surround all who are involved with Your divine protection. *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me," says Yahweh"* (Isaiah 54:17, WEB).
Finally, Father, we ask that You would fill the void in this woman’s life with Your love, Your truth, and Your Holy Spirit. Let her encounter You in a real and transformative way, that she may know the height, depth, and width of Your love for her. Draw her to Yourself, Lord, and let her find her identity and worth in Christ alone. May she be washed clean by the blood of the Lamb and walk in the newness of life that You have prepared for her.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers and for the victory that is already won through Jesus Christ. We trust in Your power to bring about deliverance, repentance, and restoration, and we give You all the glory. In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing in prayer for this woman, but also to guard your own heart in the process. Pray for her salvation above all, for *"what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his life?"* (Mark 8:36, WEB). If you have any personal connection to this situation, be mindful of setting healthy boundaries and seeking wise counsel from mature believers. The spiritual battles we face are real, but our God is greater, and He has already triumphed over the enemy through the cross of Christ.
May the Lord strengthen you as you intercede, and may He grant you peace and discernment in all things. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, and trust that He is working all things together for His glory. *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB).
