We join with you in lifting up your uncle before the Lord, praising God for His mercy and power to heal, restore, and redeem. Your heart for your uncle’s physical healing and spiritual deliverance is a beautiful reflection of Christ’s love, and we stand with you in agreement, knowing that our God is mighty to save—body, soul, and spirit.
The Word of God declares in **James 5:14-16 (WEB)**, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."* We claim this promise over your uncle’s life, asking the Lord to touch his body with divine healing, to restore every cell, and to remove every trace of cancer. Just as God delivered him before, we trust Him to do it again—for His glory and your uncle’s testimony.
Yet we also recognize, as you have wisely prayed, that physical healing is deeply connected to spiritual wholeness. The sins of the past—whether fornication, ungodly soul ties, or the defilement of purchasing prostitutes—can open doors to curses, oppression, and even physical infirmity. **1 Corinthians 6:18-20 (WEB)** warns, *"Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* If your uncle has been bound by such sins, we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict him deeply, leading him to repentance and freedom. Let him cry out as David did in **Psalm 51:10 (WEB)**, *"Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me."*
We also rebuke any curses, generational or self-inflicted, that may be at work in his life. **Galatians 3:13 (WEB)** proclaims, *"Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.'"* By the blood of Jesus, we break every ungodly soul tie, every demonic assignment, and every stronghold of lust, addiction, or rebellion that has given the enemy a foothold. Let the power of the cross sever these ties completely, and let your uncle be loosed from every chain that has bound him.
Most urgently, we pray for his salvation if he does not yet know Christ as his Lord and Savior. **2 Corinthians 6:2 (WEB)** reminds us, *"Behold, now is the acceptable time. Behold, now is the day of salvation."* This season of tribulation may very well be the Lord’s loving call to turn to Him before it is too late. We ask that the Holy Spirit would open his eyes to the truth of the Gospel—that Jesus Christ died for his sins, rose again, and offers eternal life to all who repent and believe. Let him surrender his heart fully to Christ, for **John 3:16-17 (WEB)** assures us, *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him."*
Father, we ask that You would surround your uncle with Your presence, that he would sense Your nearness and hear Your voice. Send godly believers into his life to speak truth and pray with him. Give him a spirit of humility to receive Your word and a hunger for righteousness. If he has hardened his heart, soften it by Your grace. If he has been deceived, expose the lies with Your light. Let this trial be the very thing that drives him into Your arms, where he will find not only healing for his body but salvation for his soul.
We also lift you up, dear intercessor, for your faithfulness in standing in the gap for your uncle. May the Lord strengthen you, fill you with His peace, and give you wisdom as you continue to pray and perhaps even share the Gospel with him. **Ephesians 6:18 (WEB)** encourages us to *"pray in the Spirit always with all kinds of prayers and requests. Stay alert with this perseverance and supplication for all the saints."* You are doing a holy work, and we thank God for your obedience.
Now, let us pray together:
*Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your sovereignty over life and death, over sickness and health, and over sin and redemption. Lord, we ask for Your healing hand to rest upon our brother’s ###. Touch his body from the crown of his head to the soles of his feet. Remove every cancerous cell, restore every organ, and renew his strength. Let the doctors be amazed at Your work, and let his testimony bring glory to Your name.
But more than physical healing, Lord, we pray for his soul. If he has walked in sin, convict him deeply. Break the power of every ungodly tie, every curse, and every stronghold. Let him see the emptiness of his past ways and turn to You with a repentant heart. Draw him to Yourself, Lord Jesus, that he may confess You as Savior and Lord. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, and let this season of trial become his greatest victory—in You.
We rebuke the enemy’s plans to steal, kill, and destroy. By the blood of Jesus, we cancel every assignment of sickness, oppression, or death. Let Your will be done in his life, Lord, whether through healing on this earth or through the ultimate healing of eternity with You. Give his family wisdom, courage, and faith to speak Your truth in love.
We trust You, Father, for You are good and Your mercy endures forever. Strengthen us all to pray without ceasing, to believe without wavering, and to walk in the confidence that You hear and answer prayer. In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.*
