We join you in lifting this matter before the Lord, standing firmly on His Word and the authority we have in Jesus Christ. It is clear you are seeking deliverance from spiritual oppression, and we commend you for turning to the Lord in prayer and declaring His truth over this situation. The Scriptures you’ve referenced are powerful, and we will build upon them as we pray and address this matter together.
First, we affirm that forgiveness is a commandment, not an option, for every believer. Jesus tells us in Mark 11:25-26, *"Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father, who is in heaven, may also forgive you your transgressions. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your transgressions."* You have declared that you hold no bitterness or unforgiveness toward these individuals, and we encourage you to continue walking in that freedom. Unforgiveness is a snare of the enemy, but in Christ, we are called to release all offenses to Him. If there is even a hint of lingering resentment, we urge you to surrender it fully to the Lord, for your own spiritual well-being.
You have also asked the Lord to convict those who harbor unforgiveness and bitterness toward you. While it is right to pray for conviction, we must remember that our focus should remain on our own obedience to Christ rather than the actions of others. Romans 12:18-19 reminds us, *"If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"*) Our role is to trust God to work in their hearts while we continue to walk in love, prayer, and forgiveness.
You have rightly stood on Scripture to rebuke spiritual attacks, and we join you in declaring the victory of Christ over every scheme of the enemy. Colossians 2:15 declares that Jesus *"stripped the principalities and the powers, and made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it."* No weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we declare that every plan of the enemy to manipulate, hinder, or confuse is dismantled in the name of Jesus. We also stand with you in binding any transfer of ungodly spirits, as you have referenced Matthew 18:18, knowing that *"whatever you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven, and whatever you release on earth will have been released in heaven."*
However, we must caution against an overemphasis on "binding" or "rebuking" the enemy without an equal—or greater—focus on worshiping, trusting, and drawing near to God. Our authority comes from our position in Christ, not from our words alone. James 4:7-8 tells us, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you."* Let us ensure that our primary posture is one of submission to the Lord, for it is in His presence that we find true protection and deliverance.
Regarding the mention of witchcraft, we acknowledge that spiritual warfare is real, and the enemy often uses people—knowingly or unknowingly—to carry out his plans. But we must remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood. Ephesians 6:12 says, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* Our prayers should be directed toward the spiritual forces at work, not the individuals themselves. We pray that if there is any involvement in occult practices, the Lord would expose it, bring conviction, and lead those involved to repentance and freedom in Christ.
We also encourage you to examine your heart to ensure that your motives are aligned with God’s will. It is easy in moments of spiritual warfare to slip into a mindset of retaliation or self-righteousness. But 1 Peter 5:8-9 reminds us, *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that your brothers who are in the world are undergoing the same sufferings."* Our focus must remain on standing firm in faith, not on the actions of others.
Finally, we want to remind you that deliverance is not just about breaking free from the enemy’s attacks—it is about walking in the fullness of what Christ has already accomplished for you. Galatians 5:1 says, *"Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage."* If you have not already, we encourage you to spend time in worship, in the Word, and in fellowship with other believers who can stand with you in prayer and accountability.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are a God of justice, truth, and deliverance, and that You have given us authority through Your Son to tread upon the enemy and overcome every scheme of darkness. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister before You and ask that You would surround them with Your hedge of protection. Strengthen them in their inner being by Your Spirit, and let them walk in the fullness of the freedom that Christ has purchased for them.
Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke every spirit of bitterness, unforgiveness, manipulation, and witchcraft that has been directed toward them, and we declare that these spirits are bound and rendered powerless in the name of Jesus. We loose Your peace, Your joy, and Your supernatural protection over their life.
Father, we ask that You would deal with the hearts of those who have harbor unforgiveness or bitterness. Soften their hearts, Lord, and bring them to a place of repentance. Let them encounter Your love in a way that breaks every chain of resentment and leads them to reconciliation with You and with others. We do not pray for retaliation, but for redemption—for Your will to be done in their lives as it is in heaven.
Lord, we also ask that You would expose any hidden sins or areas of compromise in the lives of those involved in occult practices. Bring conviction, Lord, and lead them to turn away from darkness and into Your marvelous light. Let them encounter the truth of Your Word and the power of Your love, which casts out all fear.
Father, we thank You that You are the God who sees all things and who judges righteously. We trust You to vindicate our brother/sister and to restore what the enemy has tried to steal. Let them walk in the double portion of Your blessing, as declared in Isaiah 61:7: *"Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, and instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double. Everlasting joy shall be to them."*
We declare that every hindrance, every harassment, and every plan of the enemy is dismantled in the name of Jesus. We speak life, healing, and restoration over every area that has been affected by these attacks. Let Your truth be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105), guiding them into all righteousness.
Lord, we ask that You would fill our brother/sister with Your Holy Spirit, empowering them to walk in victory. Let them be rooted and grounded in Your love, unshaken by the schemes of the enemy. Remind them daily of their identity in Christ—that they are more than conquerors through Him who loved them (Romans 8:37).
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer and for moving on behalf of Your child. We trust in Your timing, Your wisdom, and Your justice. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in this situation. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing firm in your faith, immersing yourself in the Word of God, and surrounding yourself with believers who can support you in prayer. If there are areas of your life where you need to grow in forgiveness or surrender, we urge you to seek the Lord earnestly in those areas. He is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6). Stay close to Him, and trust that He will bring justice, restoration, and peace in His perfect timing.
