Deliverance Prayer

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Lord Jesus,

I praise you, and thank you. I glorify you. Lord Jesus I ask for a shield of protection from my mom and her gaslighting, standing on Isaiah 54:17. May I be restored from her attacks, standing on Isaiah 61:7. In Jesus name I pray and ask. Amen.

We join you in lifting up this request for deliverance and restoration, and we praise God that you have come before Him in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the authority to stand against the schemes of the enemy. Your heart of worship and reliance on Scripture is commendable, and we stand with you in agreement, knowing that the Word of God is living, active, and powerful to bring about the breakthrough you seek.

The gaslighting and emotional attacks you describe are not of God, for He is a God of truth, clarity, and peace—not confusion, manipulation, or oppression. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came that you may have life abundantly. Your mother’s behavior, whether intentional or not, is causing harm, and we must address this spiritually while also acknowledging the need for wisdom in how you engage with her moving forward. Scripture calls us to honor our parents (Exodus 20:12), but it does not require us to endure abuse or deception. You can honor her *position* as your mother while setting boundaries that protect your heart and mind in Christ.

You have rightly stood on Isaiah 54:17, which declares, *“No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,” says Yahweh.* This is a powerful promise, and we claim it over you now. The Lord is your defender, and no scheme formed against you in darkness will prosper. The gaslighting—those twisted words meant to make you doubt your reality—will be exposed and rendered powerless by the truth of God’s Word. You are not crazy, forgotten, or without hope. The Lord sees, He knows, and He will vindicate you in His timing.

You have also stood on Isaiah 61:7, which proclaims, *“Instead of your shame you will have double honor. Instead of confusion, they will rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they will possess double. Everlasting joy will be to them.”* What the enemy meant for your shame, God will turn into a testimony of His faithfulness. The confusion sown in your mind will be replaced with the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). The Lord is restoring what has been stolen—your confidence, your joy, and your sense of security in Him. He will give you "beauty for ashes" (Isaiah 61:3) and turn your mourning into dancing.

Yet, we must also address the need for wisdom in how you interact with your mother. Proverbs 22:3 tells us, *“A prudent man sees danger and hides himself; but the simple pass on, and suffer for it.”* If her behavior is consistently harmful, it may be necessary to limit exposure to her manipulation while still praying for her salvation and healing. This is not unforgiveness; it is stewardship of the peace and clarity God has given you. Jesus Himself said, *“Behold, I send you out as sheep among wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents, and harmless as doves”* (Matthew 10:16). You can love her from a distance while trusting God to work in her heart.

We also encourage you to forgive her, not because she deserves it, but because *you* deserve freedom. Unforgiveness is a chain that binds *you*, not the offender. Jesus said, *“If you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses”* (Matthew 6:14-15). Forgiveness does not mean excusing her behavior or pretending it didn’t hurt you. It means releasing her to God’s justice and mercy, trusting Him to handle what you cannot. It is an act of faith that unlocks your own healing.

Lastly, we urge you to surround yourself with godly counsel—whether through a solid Bible-believing church, a mature believer who can mentor you, or a Christian counselor who can help you navigate this season. You were not meant to walk this path alone. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 reminds us, *“Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up.”*

Now, let us pray together over you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up Your beloved child who has been wounded by the words and actions of their mother. Lord, You are a God of justice, and You see the pain caused by gaslighting, manipulation, and emotional attacks. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Break the power of deception and confusion in Jesus’ name. Restore their mind, their emotions, and their sense of reality. Let Your truth be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105).

Lord, we ask for supernatural wisdom on how to engage with their mother. Give them discernment to know when to speak, when to remain silent, and when to create healthy boundaries. Surround them with godly counsel and support, that they may not walk this road alone. Heal the wounds of rejection, shame, and doubt. Replace their confusion with Your peace, their sorrow with Your joy, and their fear with Your perfect love that casts out all fear (1 John 4:18).

We pray for their mother’s heart, Lord. Soften it, convict her of her actions, and draw her to repentance. If she is unaware of the harm she is causing, open her eyes. If she is willfully deceitful, break the strongholds of pride and bitterness in her life. Let her encounter Your love in a way that transforms her. We ask that You would either change her heart or change the circumstances to protect Your child from further harm.

Father, we thank You that what the enemy meant for evil, You will turn for good (Genesis 50:20). Restore to them double for their trouble—double honor, double joy, double peace. Let this season of attack become a testimony of Your deliverance and faithfulness. Strengthen them in their inner being by Your Spirit (Ephesians 3:16), and let them walk in the confidence of their identity in Christ.

We rebuke every spirit of gaslighting, manipulation, and emotional abuse in the name of Jesus. We bind the enemy’s ability to twist words, distort reality, or bring confusion. We loose the spirit of truth, clarity, and divine protection over them. Let Your angels encamp around them, Lord, and deliver them from every evil work (Psalm 34:7).

Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness, Your justice, and Your timing. Let Your will be done in this situation, and let Your name be glorified. In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Stand firm in the Lord, beloved. He is your shield, your defender, and your healer. Keep speaking His Word over your life, and do not give the enemy a foothold in bitterness or fear. The battle belongs to the Lord, and He has already won the victory. Walk in that truth, and let His peace guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We are standing with you in faith.

We're right there with you, standing in faith and love. We've been praying for you, and we want you to know that you're not alone in this. We're claiming Isaiah 54:17 over you, "No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall condemn." We declare that no weapon formed against you will prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Him.

We also want to encourage you to keep forgiving, even if it's hard. Forgiveness isn't about excusing their behavior, but about freeing yourself from the burden of bitterness. Remember, "If you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." (Matthew 6:14-15)

Keep trusting in the Lord, and keep speaking His Word over your life. He is your shield and your defender. We're believing with you for a breakthrough, and we're here to support you every step of the way. You are loved, and you are not alone.
