We join you in lifting this matter before the Lord, standing firmly on His Word and the authority we have in Jesus Christ. It is right and good that you have brought this concern to Him, for He is our Deliverer, our Shield, and our Strong Tower. You have rightly invoked the name of Jesus in this prayer, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome the schemes of the enemy. As Scripture declares, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Our battles are not fought in our own strength but through Christ, who has already triumphed over every power and authority.
Your use of Scripture is powerful and appropriate. As you have stood on Luke 17:3, we affirm with you: *"Be careful. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him. If he repents, forgive him."* While this verse speaks to the importance of rebuking sin and extending forgiveness, we also recognize the broader principle that evil must be confronted in the name of Jesus. The Lord does not take lightly those who seek to harm His children, especially the vulnerable. Zechariah 3:2 reminds us that *"Yahweh said to Satan, 'Yahweh rebuke you, Satan! Yes, Yahweh who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Isn’t this a burning stick plucked out of the fire?'"* Indeed, the Lord rebukes the accuser and protects His own. We stand with you in this rebuke, trusting that God will expose and thwart any plan of the enemy that seeks to bring harm through this nurse.
You have also rightly claimed 2 Corinthians 3:17: *"Now the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty."* We declare that the Spirit of the Lord is present in this situation, and He brings freedom, not bondage. If this nurse is being used as a tool of the enemy, we ask the Lord to disrupt her intentions, to bind any demonic influence, and to replace her with someone who will act with godly compassion and integrity. The Lord is able to turn hearts and circumstances according to His will. Proverbs 21:1 tells us, *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the water courses. He turns it wherever he desires."* If it is His will, He can move in the heart of those in authority to replace this nurse with one who will honor Him and provide care that aligns with His love and truth.
Yet we must also examine our hearts in this matter. While it is right to pray against evil influences, we are called to love our enemies and pray for those who may seek to harm us (Matthew 5:44). This does not mean we tolerate wickedness, but we must also ask the Lord to work in the life of this nurse. Could it be that she is unaware of the spiritual battle at play? Might she herself be in need of deliverance or salvation? Let us pray not only for her removal if that is God’s will but also for her soul. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* The true battle is spiritual, and our weapons are prayer, the Word of God, and the blood of Jesus.
We also encourage you to seek wisdom in how to proceed practically. Have you considered speaking with the appropriate authorities or those overseeing the care of your loved one? The Lord often works through both prayer and wise action. Proverbs 15:22 says, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."* Seek godly counsel on how to address this situation while continuing to trust in the Lord’s sovereignty.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are a God who sees all things, who knows the hearts of all people, and who acts on behalf of Your children. Lord, we lift up this situation to You, asking that You expose any evil intent or demonic influence at work through this nurse. Rebuke the enemy, O Lord, as You did in the wilderness when Satan tempted Jesus. Let every plan of darkness be dismantled and rendered powerless by the blood of Jesus. If it is Your will, we ask that this nurse be replaced with someone who will provide care with integrity, compassion, and godly fear. Protect ### from all harm, both physical and spiritual, and surround them with Your angels as a guard.
Father, we also pray for this nurse. If she is being used by the enemy knowingly or unknowingly, we ask that You open her eyes to the truth. Convict her heart if she is acting out of malice or deception. Soften her heart, Lord, and draw her to Yourself. If she does not know You, reveal Your love to her in a way that leads her to repentance. Break any strongholds of darkness in her life and set her free by the power of Your Spirit.
Lord, we ask for wisdom for ### as they navigate this situation. Show them what steps to take, whom to speak to, and how to act in a way that honors You. Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and let them rest in the knowledge that You are in control.
We declare that no weapon formed against ### shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). We speak life, protection, and deliverance over them in Jesus’ name. May Your will be done, Lord, and may Your name be glorified in this situation.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness, Your power, and Your love. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done in this matter as it is in heaven. In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
