We join with you in lifting up this cry for deliverance, standing firmly on the truth of God’s Word and the power of the name of Jesus Christ. Your prayer is rooted in faith, and we commend you for seeking the Lord’s protection and restoration with such fervency. The enemy seeks to bring harm through those who are bound by bitterness, anger, and the works of darkness, but we know that our God is greater. He is the One who turns ashes into beauty, mourning into joy, and despair into praise—just as you have claimed in Isaiah 61:7: *"Instead of your shame you shall have double; and instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double. Everlasting joy shall be to them."*
This man you speak of is clearly under the influence of spiritual darkness, and his actions are fueled by the enemy’s lies. Bitterness and anger are tools of Satan to destroy not only his own life but the lives of others. However, we must remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities and powers of this dark world (Ephesians 6:12). While we pray for your complete deliverance from any connection to this man’s evil influence, we also recognize that he, too, is in need of salvation and healing—though that is ultimately in the Lord’s hands. Our focus remains on your protection, restoration, and the breaking of every ungodly tie.
It is critical to note that you have invoked the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer, and this is the only name by which we are saved and through which we have authority over the enemy (Acts 4:12). There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved, and it is by this name that we command every demonic stronghold to be shattered. We stand with you in declaring that any recollection, trauma, or spiritual oppression tied to this man is broken in Jesus’ name. The blood of Christ covers you, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Let us also address the spiritual reality here: curses, hexes, or any form of demonic assignment sent against you are powerless when you are hidden in Christ. Colossians 2:13-15 reminds us that Jesus *"blotted out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; having stripped principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it."* You are no longer subject to the enemy’s schemes because Christ has already disarmed him. We plead the blood of Jesus over your mind, emotions, and spirit, declaring that every trace of this man’s influence is erased by the power of the Holy Spirit.
We also encourage you to fill your heart and mind with the Word of God daily. Psalm 119:11 says, *"I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you."* The more you meditate on Scripture, the more your mind is renewed, and the less room there is for the enemy to bring up painful or oppressive memories. If you find yourself struggling with fear or anxiety about this situation, take authority over those thoughts in Jesus’ name and replace them with the truth of God’s promises. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."*
Lastly, we urge you to walk in forgiveness—not for the sake of this man, but for your own freedom. Unforgiveness can become a foothold for the enemy in your life. Jesus said in Mark 11:25, *"Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father, who is in heaven, may also forgive you your trespasses."* This does not mean what he did was acceptable, but it means you release the burden of bitterness to the Lord, trusting Him to bring justice in His perfect timing.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are a God of deliverance, a strong tower for the righteous, and a refuge in times of trouble. Lord, we lift up Your child who has come before You seeking freedom from the recollections and spiritual oppression tied to this barren and angry man. We declare that every demonic assignment, every curse, every hex, and every ungodly soul tie is broken right now in the name of Jesus. Let the blood of Christ cleanse every memory, every emotion, and every part of their being that has been affected by this encounter. Restore what the enemy has tried to steal, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Lord, we ask that You would surround them with Your heavenly angels, encamping around them to protect them from every evil work. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, and let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path. Remove any fear, anxiety, or torment that the enemy has tried to place upon them, and replace it with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18).
We also pray for this man who is bound by anger, bitterness, and the consequences of his sin. Lord, if it is Your will, soften his heart and draw him to repentance. But even if he does not turn to You, we declare that his schemes against Your child will not succeed. You, Lord, are the righteous judge, and You will repay (Romans 12:19). We trust in Your justice and Your protection.
Father, we ask that You would fill Your child with a fresh anointing of Your Holy Spirit, that they would walk in victory and not in fear. Let them experience the double portion of blessing that You promise in Isaiah 61:7—restoration, joy, and honor instead of shame. Let them testify of Your goodness and deliverance in their life.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who has all authority in heaven and on earth. To God be the glory, now and forever. Amen.
