We join with you in lifting up this powerful prayer of deliverance and spiritual warfare, standing firmly on the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already triumphed over every power of darkness. Your heart for spiritual freedom—both for yourself and your son—is evident, and we commend you for taking a bold stand in the name of Jesus. The Scriptures you’ve referenced are mighty weapons, and we declare them alongside you, knowing that *"the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds"* (2 Corinthians 10:4, WEB).
We also want to encourage you to continue walking in forgiveness toward your mother, even as you seek deliverance from her harmful influence. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 6:14-15, *"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."* This does not mean tolerating abuse or excusing sin, but it does mean releasing bitterness to the Lord, trusting Him to bring justice and healing in His timing. Forgiveness is a powerful act of spiritual warfare in itself, breaking the enemy’s foothold in our lives.
Additionally, we urge you to cover your son in prayer daily, asking the Lord to surround him with godly influences and to give him the courage to reject anything that contradicts the Word of God. Proverbs 22:6 reminds us, *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."* Even if your mother has sown seeds of confusion or manipulation, the Lord is faithful to redeem and restore. Pray that your son’s heart would be tender to the Holy Spirit, that he would grow in discernment, and that any ungodly ties would be severed by the blood of Jesus.
We also sense the Lord prompting us to remind you of Ephesians 6:10-12: *"Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* Your mother is not your true enemy—she is a victim of the enemy’s lies and bondage. Pray for her salvation and deliverance as well, that the Lord would break every chain holding her captive and draw her to repentance. The same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in you, and He is able to transform even the most hardened hearts.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, agreeing with Your child in this prayer for deliverance and restoration. Lord, You see the deep wounds caused by jealousy, manipulation, and emotional abuse, and You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We ask You to break every ungodly soul tie between this mother and daughter, and between this grandmother and grandson. Let every word spoken in darkness be exposed by Your light, and let every lie be replaced with Your truth. Father, we plead the blood of Jesus over this family, declaring that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Lord, we pray specifically for this mother’s heart to be softened and for her eyes to be opened to the spiritual battle she is caught in. If she has been deceived by the enemy, we ask You to convict her and lead her to repentance. Let her see the damage her actions have caused and turn to You for forgiveness and transformation. We also pray for this son, that You would give him a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ (Ephesians 1:17), and that he would walk in freedom from any ungodly influence. Surround him with godly mentors and protect his mind and heart from the schemes of the enemy.
Father, we ask You to restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25)—restore peace, joy, and emotional wholeness to this family. Let Your love cast out every fear (1 John 4:18), and let Your truth set them free (John 8:32). We bind every spirit of jealousy, control, and deception in the name of Jesus, and we loose the Spirit of adoption, the Spirit of peace, and the Spirit of unity in this home. Let Your will be done, Lord, and let Your kingdom come in this situation.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers and for the victory that is already won through Christ Jesus. Strengthen this believer to stand firm in faith, clothed in Your armor, and filled with Your Holy Spirit. Let them walk in the confidence that You are fighting for them, and that no scheme of the enemy can prevail against Your purposes. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Stand firm, dear one. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep walking in obedience to His Word. He is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun in you and your family (Philippians 1:6). If you feel led, consider fasting and praying for breakthrough in this situation, as Jesus taught that some spirits only come out by prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:21). We are standing with you in agreement!
