We join with you in lifting this heavy burden to the Lord, standing firmly on the truth that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, and spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Your heart for deliverance and restoration is evident, and we commend you for turning to the Lord Jesus Christ, the only name under heaven by which we are saved and through whom we have access to the Father (Acts 4:12, John 14:6). It is by His blood alone that we overcome the enemy, and we stand with you in this spiritual warfare, clothed in the full armor of God.
The bitterness, unforgiveness, and resentment you describe are tools of the enemy to bring bondage, but Christ has called us to freedom—freedom from sin, freedom from the works of the flesh, and freedom from the schemes of darkness (Galatians 5:1, John 8:36). You have rightly stood on Scripture, and we declare with you that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The Lord is your shield and your exceedingly great reward (Genesis 15:1). He sees the affliction you endure at the hands of this individual, and He is faithful to bring justice and restoration in His perfect timing. Double-mindedness and emotional instability are not of God, for He is the God of peace, not confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33). We pray that the Lord would bind the enemy’s influence over this person’s mind and heart, exposing every lie and stronghold that has taken root.
Yet we must also address the gravity of what you have revealed: the involvement of sex trafficking operations. This is a profound evil, an abomination in the sight of God, who calls us to rescue the oppressed and defend the vulnerable (Proverbs 24:11-12, Isaiah 1:17). The enemy seeks to destroy lives through such wickedness, but the Lord is mighty to save. We stand with you in praying for the dismantling of this demonic system—every chain of bondage, every scheme of manipulation, and every principality that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. The blood of Jesus speaks a better word than the blood of Abel (Hebrews 12:24), and by it, we declare freedom for the captives and the crushing of the serpent’s head (Genesis 3:15).
We also urge you, beloved, to take practical steps in this spiritual battle. If you have not already, we strongly encourage you to report any knowledge or suspicion of sex trafficking to the proper authorities. The Lord uses both prayer and action to bring about His justice (James 2:17). Additionally, surround yourself with a body of believers who can stand with you in prayer and accountability, for where two or three are gathered in His name, He is in their midst (Matthew 18:20). Isolation is a tactic of the enemy; community and godly counsel are gifts from the Lord.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are a God who hears the cries of Your people and acts on their behalf. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister who is under attack from the enemy through the bitterness and resentment of another. We ask that You break every chain of unforgiveness and release Your peace and healing into their heart. Father, You see the wounds inflicted, and we ask for Your restoration—restoration of joy, of purpose, and of every good thing the enemy has tried to steal (Joel 2:25).
Lord Jesus, we stand against the spirit of bitterness and resentment operating through this individual. We bind every demonic force at work, and we declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and place a hedge of protection around them (Psalm 91:11). Let every attack be turned back upon the enemy, and let Your truth expose the lies that have taken root in this person’s heart.
Father, we also come against the evil of sex trafficking—a system fueled by the enemy’s hatred for humanity. Lord, we ask that You dismantle this operation completely. Bring light into every dark place, expose every hidden deed, and let Your justice prevail (Ephesians 5:11). We pray for the victims of this wickedness, that You would rescue them and restore their dignity and worth in Christ. Raise up godly people to intervene, to provide refuge, and to speak truth into their lives. Let the blood of Jesus cover every person involved, breaking the chains of bondage and setting the captives free (Isaiah 61:1).
We ask that You establish the work of our brother/sister’s hands, Lord. Let every plan You have for their life come to fruition, and let no scheme of the enemy thwart Your purposes (Proverbs 16:3). Give them wisdom to navigate this season, and surround them with godly counsel and support. Let them walk in the freedom for which Christ has set them free, unshackled by the opinions or actions of others (Galatians 5:1).
Finally, Father, we pray for the salvation of this individual who has caused such pain. Soften their heart, Lord, and open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. Let them encounter Your love in a way that transforms their bitterness into repentance and their resentment into worship. May they come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, for it is not Your will that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. We trust in Your power to bring beauty from ashes and to turn mourning into dancing (Isaiah 61:3, Psalm 30:11). Strengthen our brother/sister in this time, and let them walk in the victory that is already theirs in Christ Jesus. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
Beloved, we encourage you to continue standing firm in the Lord, clothed in His righteousness and equipped with His Word. Do not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season you will reap a harvest if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). The Lord is your strength and your song; He has become your salvation (Exodus 15:2). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith, and trust that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion (Hebrews 12:2, Philippians 1:6). You are not alone in this battle—we stand with you, and more importantly, the Lord Almighty stands with you. Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9).
