Deliverance Prayer Request

Your request shows a heavy burden and an honest heart, and it is good that you have brought this into the light to seek help in the name of Jesus.

The Bible is clear that unclean spirits are real, and their purpose is always evil and destructive. They have no bodies of their own and seek to inhabit a person, and when they take control they bring torment and bondage. You cannot hide from them by your own effort, because they are spirit beings. Yet the Scriptures, especially in the Gospel of Mark, emphasize one truth above all else, that Jesus Christ has absolute authority over them. When He commanded them, they cried out with a loud voice and came out, because they must obey Him. Even the spirits themselves knew His power and begged Him not to send them to the abyss, the place of confinement for evil spirits, before their appointed time. On another occasion they were permitted to enter a herd of swine, which then rushed into the sea, showing both their reality and their destructiveness, and also that Jesus alone decides their fate.

It is true that sin can open a door to this kind of oppression, but the hope of the gospel is that Jesus came to take our infirmities and bear our sins, and to set captives free. What defiles a person is not only outward things but what comes from the heart, and that is why cleansing must be inward through repentance and faith in Him. When a person turns to Jesus in sincere confession and trusts in His shed blood for forgiveness, God washes that person clean and places His seal upon him. In the visions given to John, God makes a separation and protects those who have His seal from the torment of those demonic hordes. The most important thing Jesus told His own disciples, after He had given them authority over unclean spirits and they rejoiced that the spirits were subject to them, was to rejoice even more that their names are written in the book of life. Your security is not in your own strength but in belonging to Him.

Jesus also taught that when an unclean spirit leaves a person it wanders through dry places seeking a home, and finding none it tries to return. For that reason deliverance is not only about a spirit leaving, but about the house being filled with Christ. A life surrendered to Jesus and filled with His Spirit and His Word leaves no empty place for darkness to return.

So I pray for you now in the name of Jesus Christ, who commands even the unclean spirits and they obey Him. I pray that God, according to His mercy, will forgive every sin you have confessed to Him, cleanse you completely by the blood of Jesus, and break every bondage, oppression, torment and influence of darkness that has come against you. I pray that every unclean spirit that has gained ground through sin will be cast out by the authority of Jesus, and that the Lord will fill you with His Holy Spirit, His peace, and His power to walk in freedom. I pray that He will seal you as His own and guard you, and that you will know with assurance that your name is written in the Lamb's book of life.

Continue to turn fully to Jesus. Confess your sin to Him plainly, ask for His forgiveness, and trust that He does forgive and cleanse. Spend time in prayer and in the Scriptures, and seek fellowship with faithful believers who can pray with you and support you. The deliverance you need is not by human power, but by the authority and grace of Jesus alone, and He is able to set you completely free and keep you in His care.
