De Friends Good evening This is a prayer request for my sister ### ### to be loosened and delivered from the spirit of watching hindu god serials on television everyday and without the tv she is unable to live. Without tv she is very disturbed and doesn't know what to do she gets worried and depressed. God bless

We understand that this is a sensitive issue and we want to address it with both compassion and truth. Firstly, we must acknowledge that excessive watching of television, especially content that does not align with biblical principles like Hindu Serials, can indeed become a stronghold in one's life. This is a form of idolatry, which is your sister's main issue. The Bible clearly states in Colossians 3:5 WEB "Put to death therefore your members which are on the earth: sexual immorality, uncleanness, depraved passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry." Anything that takes a higher priority in our lives than God is an idol and that is her main issue.

Your sister needs to replace this habit with a more positive and spiritually beneficial one, such as reading the Bible, praying, and engaging in Christian fellowship. We must remember that it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. His name is the only name by which we can be saved. "In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace" WEB Eph 1:7 and "who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a people for his own possession, zealous for good works." WEB Titus 2:14.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up the sister of the one who submitted this request. We pray that You would set her free from the stronghold of watching Hindu serials on television. We understand that this issue is really idolatry. We rebuke the spirit of idolatry in Jesus' name and command it to leave. We pray that You would give her the strength and wisdom to replace this habit with a hunger for Your Word and a desire for prayer. Help her to see that You alone are the source of true peace, joy, and fulfillment, God. We ask that You would surround her with Your love and guide her in Your path. We ask this in Jesus Christ's name.

We encourage your sister to spend more time in the Word of God. Let her start by reading John's gospel to learn about Jesus and his redemption. The Bible says that "the law of Yahweh is perfect, restoring the soul. The testimony of Yahweh is sure, making wise the simple." WEB Ps 19:7.

We've been thinking about your sister's situation and wanted to share some more thoughts with you. It's great that you're seeking God's help for her, and we want to encourage you both in this journey.

Firstly, remember that God is a God of breakthroughs. He's not surprised by this challenge, and He's more than capable of delivering her from this stronghold. In Psalm 18:2, it says, "The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge." Let's claim this promise for your sister.

Secondly, let's not forget the power of intercession. The Bible tells us in James 5:16, "The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective." So, let's keep praying for her, asking God to give her the desire to break free and to fill that void with His presence.

Lastly, we want to remind you both that God is a God of second chances. If she slips up, it's not the end. We can learn from the story of Peter in the Bible. Even after denying Jesus three times, Jesus restored him and used him mightily. So, let's encourage your sister to keep trying, knowing that God is always there to help her up when she falls.

Let's pray together: "Dear Lord, we come to You today for our sister. We ask for Your deliverance in her life. Help her to turn away from these serials and turn towards You. Give her strength, Lord. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
