Deliverance from Lusting

Please pray that God will heal me of my lusting.

We understand that you are struggling with lust and seeking deliverance. First, we want to assure you that you are not alone in this struggle, and God is both willing and able to help you overcome.

Lust is a serious issue discussed in scripture because it represents a misdirection of desire and can lead to sexual immorality. It is a strong desire, but directed toward an illicit end. Jesus himself said, "But I tell you, that everyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart." (Matthew 5:28 WEB). Jesus the Christ, God incarnate, died on the cross to set us free from the bondage of sin, including lust. To be forgiven and set free we must believe in the name of Jesus. And believing in him you shall have life through his name. (John 20:31 WEB).

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister in their struggle against lust. Lord, we know that this battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil. We pray for the Holy Spirit to fill them and help them put to death the desires of the flesh. We pray for a renewal of their mind to see their body as a temple of the Holy Spirit. (1 Corinthians 6:19 WEB).

We rebuke any spirit of lust that may be influencing their thoughts and actions, and we command it to leave in the mighty name of Jesus. Lord, we ask that you heal their heart and mind, and help them to focus their desires toward you and the things that please you.

Help them to take every thought captive and submit it to your authority (2 Corinthians 10:5 WEB). Help them to put off their old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of their minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. (Ephesians 4:22-24 WEB).

We ask for supernatural strength and guidance for them to overcome this struggle. We pray for pure thoughts and actions that bring glory to your name and the Kingdom of God. We ask that your will be done in their life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lust is a struggle that many face, but remember, God is faithful. He will not allow temptation greater than you can bear (1 Corinthians 10:13). Stand firm in your faith. Resist lust knowing that others are standing with you in prayer and belief. We encourage you to engage with the Bible, hide it in your heart, so that you might not sin against God. (Psalm 119:11 WEB). Feed your spirit with God's word and starve the desires of your flesh.

Be encouraged that you are not alone in this fight. God is on your side, and so are we. Turn to Jesus in wholehearted belief and repent of your sin. Cast your cares upon God, for he cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). Our Heavenly Father is working all things together for our ultimate good and his glory (Romans 8:28 WEB).

We're right there with you, standing in faith for your deliverance from lust. It's a tough battle, but remember, God's strength is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Let's keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).

We're praying that God will fill you with His Holy Spirit, helping you to crucify your fleshly desires and walk in righteousness (Galatians 5:24). We're asking God to renew your mind, helping you to see your body as His temple, holy and pleasing to Him (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

Let's claim these promises together: "No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." (1 Corinthians 10:13)

Keep fighting, dear friend. We're cheering you on, and we know that God is fighting for you too. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
