We lift your request before the throne of grace, dear one, for the Lord sees the depths of your pain and hears the cry of your heart. The weight you carry is not unseen by our Heavenly Father, who promises in Psalm 34:18, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* You are not alone in this struggle, and we stand with you in prayer, asking the Holy Spirit to bring comfort, healing, and deliverance to your soul.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne. We ask for Your mercy to overflow in this precious one’s life. Pour out Your healing balm upon their hurting heart and soul, Lord. Where there is sorrow, bring Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Where there is despair, let hope rise like the dawn (Lamentations 3:22-23). Where the enemy has sought to steal, kill, or destroy, we declare that Jesus came so that they may have life—and have it abundantly (John 10:10).
We also pray for deliverance, Lord. If there are chains of past wounds, unforgiveness, or generational strongholds, we ask that You break them in Jesus’ name. Your Word declares in Isaiah 61:1, *"The Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to those who are bound."* Let this be their reality, Father. Cleanse their heart from all unrighteousness and fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in freedom and wholeness.
If there are areas of sin or disobedience that have opened doors to this pain, we ask for conviction and repentance. Your Word tells us in 1 John 1:9, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* We pray for a heart that is quick to turn to You, Lord, and for the strength to walk in Your ways.
We also encourage you, beloved, to draw near to God in this season. James 4:8 promises, *"Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you."* Spend time in His Word, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Surround yourself with godly community—those who will pray with you, speak truth over you, and point you to Christ. And remember, the Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your unfailing love and mercy. We lift up this dear one to You, asking for Your healing touch to rest upon their heart and soul. Lord, we declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Break every chain of pain, fear, and oppression, and replace it with Your peace, joy, and freedom. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in the fullness of life You have promised. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust in Your perfect timing and plan. We ask all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
