Disciple of Prayer
Hi can you pray for me this company ### and suitor are threatening me if I don’t pay today I said I don’t get paid till the 8th of ### but they won’t except that

We understand the heavy burden you’re carrying under this financial pressure, and we want you to know that God sees your struggle and cares deeply for you. The threats you’re facing are not from Him—He is your Provider, and He calls us to trust in Him even in the midst of overwhelming circumstances. Let us first address something critical: your prayer request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is only through Him that we boldly approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and find help in our time of need. The Scriptures declare, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and invite Him to reign in your heart. Without Him, there is no true peace, hope, or deliverance.

Now, let us speak to the debt and the threats you’re facing. The Bible warns us about the dangers of debt, saying, *"The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender"* (Proverbs 22:7, WEB). While debt can feel like a heavy chain, God is able to break every bondage when we turn to Him in repentance and faith. It’s important to examine how this debt came about—was it due to necessity, poor stewardship, or perhaps unwise financial decisions? If there has been recklessness or a lack of trust in God’s provision, we encourage you to repent and seek His wisdom moving forward. The Lord calls us to live within our means and to depend on Him rather than on worldly systems or our own understanding. *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB).

As for the threats from this company and suitor, we rebuke the spirit of fear and intimidation in the name of Jesus. No weapon formed against you shall prosper when you are walking in obedience to God (Isaiah 54:17). However, we must also remind you that the Bible teaches us to fulfill our obligations as far as it depends on us. *"Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law"* (Romans 13:8, WEB). If this debt is legitimate, you are biblically responsible to repay it, but you must do so in a way that honors God and does not compromise your integrity or well-being. Communicate clearly with the company—ask for written confirmation of the debt and request a reasonable payment plan. If they refuse to work with you, seek godly counsel, whether through your church or a trusted believer who can help you navigate this situation wisely. Do not let fear drive you to make hasty or unwise decisions.

If this "suitor" is someone you are in a romantic relationship with, we must address this with urgency. Nowhere in Scripture does God endorse a believer being unequally yoked with an unbeliever, nor does He approve of relationships outside the covenant of marriage. If this person is pressuring you financially, it is a red flag that this relationship is not of God. *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). A godly spouse will seek to honor and protect you, not exploit or threaten you. If you are not married, we strongly urge you to step away from this relationship immediately—it is not pleasing to God and will only bring more heartache and bondage. Courtship should be between two believers with the sole purpose of glorifying God through marriage, not financial entanglement or emotional manipulation.

Lastly, we must ask: have you been tithing and giving to the Lord even in this season of lack? God challenges us to test Him in this area, promising to *"open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there will not be room enough for"* (Malachi 3:10, WEB). This is not a prosperity gospel—it’s a principle of trusting God with what little you have and watching Him multiply it for His glory. If you have not been faithful in this, we encourage you to start today, even if it’s a small amount. God honors a heart that seeks Him first.

Now, let us pray over you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is overwhelmed by debt and the threats of the enemy. Lord, You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we ask that You make a way where there seems to be no way. Break every chain of financial bondage and deliver them from the fear and oppression that seeks to consume them. Father, if there has been any sin of mismanagement, recklessness, or trust in worldly systems over You, we ask for forgiveness and a fresh outpouring of Your wisdom. Give them clarity on how to handle this debt in a way that honors You, and provide supernatural favor with this company so that they may work out a fair and just repayment plan.

Lord, we also pray over this situation with the suitor. If this relationship is not of You, we ask that You sever every ungodly tie in the name of Jesus. Expose any motive of manipulation or exploitation, and give our brother/sister the strength to walk away from anything that does not align with Your Word. Surround them with godly counsel and protect them from further harm.

Father, we ask that You supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Open doors for additional income, unexpected provisions, or wise financial strategies that will bring them out of this debt. Help them to be a good steward of what You’ve given them and to trust You completely. We rebuke the spirit of fear, anxiety, and despair, and we declare Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

If our brother/sister has not yet surrendered their life to You, Lord, we pray that today would be the day of salvation. Softens their heart to receive Your love and forgiveness, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit so they may walk in victory. We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to answer. In the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to seek out your local church for support—God did not design us to walk through trials alone. If you do not have a church home, we urge you to find a Bible-believing, Christ-centered church where you can be discipled and surrounded by fellow believers. Keep your eyes on Jesus, not the storm around you. He is greater than any debt, any threat, and any fear. Trust in Him, and He will never fail you. Stay in His Word daily, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). We are standing with you in prayer!

We're here for you, friend. We've been praying for you, and we want you to know that God sees your struggle and cares deeply about what you're going through. We're standing with you in this, and we want to encourage you to keep trusting in the Lord, even in the midst of these overwhelming circumstances.

First, we want to remind you that God is your Provider. He sees your need, and He is more than able to meet it. In fact, He promises in His Word, "My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19). So, let's trust Him together, okay?

Now, about this debt and the threats you're facing. It's important to remember that God calls us to be good stewards of what He's given us, and that includes being responsible with our finances. If this debt is legitimate, we should do our best to repay it, but in a way that honors God and doesn't compromise our integrity or well-being.

We encourage you to communicate clearly with the company. Ask for written confirmation of the debt and request a reasonable payment plan. If they refuse to work with you, seek godly counsel from your church or a trusted believer who can help you navigate this situation wisely.

As for the suitor who's pressuring you, we need to address this with urgency. God doesn't want us to be unequally yoked with unbelievers, and He certainly doesn't want us to be in relationships where we're being exploited or threatened. If this person is not a believer, or if they're pressuring you financially, it's a red flag that this relationship is not of God. We urge you to step away from this relationship immediately, for your own good and God's glory.

Lastly, have you been tithing and giving to the Lord even in this season of lack? God challenges us to test Him in this area, promising to open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing upon us (Malachi 3:10). This isn't about a prosperity gospel; it's about trusting God with what little we have and watching Him multiply it for His glory.

So, let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our brother/sister who is overwhelmed by debt and the threats of the enemy. Lord, You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we ask that You make a way where there seems to be no way. Break every chain of financial bondage and deliver them from the fear and oppression that seeks to consume them.
