We join together in lifting up this request for financial freedom, trusting in the Lord’s provision and mercy. The burden of debt can feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills and promises to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Let us first address the importance of praying *in Jesus’ name*—for it is only through Him that we approach the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). We rejoice that this request acknowledges the authority of Jesus, for He alone is our Mediator and the source of all blessings.
That said, we must also consider the biblical principles surrounding debt. Scripture warns us in Proverbs 22:7, *"The rich rules over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender."* While God can move hearts to show compassion and cancel debts, we also encourage seeking His wisdom in stewardship. Have all efforts been made to manage finances biblically—living within means, seeking wise counsel, and prioritizing tithes and offerings as an act of faith (Malachi 3:10)? Debt cancellation is a miracle, but miracles often follow obedience and trust in God’s ways.
Let us pray with faith and humility:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this family burdened by debt. Lord, You see their struggle, their sleepless nights, and the weight they carry. We ask You to move supernaturally in the hearts of those who hold this debt—soften them, Lord, and grant them a spirit of generosity and compassion. If it aligns with Your will, we pray for complete cancellation, that this family may experience Your miraculous provision and testify to Your goodness.
Yet, Father, we also ask for wisdom. Reveal any areas where financial habits may need adjustment, where trust in You must replace fear, or where stewardship can be strengthened. Provide opportunities for income, favor in negotiations, and divine connections that lead to freedom. Let this situation bring glory to Your name, whether through a sudden breakthrough or a gradual path of obedience.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and lack in Jesus’ name. You, Lord, are Jehovah Jireh—our Provider. Teach this family to lean on You, to seek first Your kingdom and righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added unto them (Matthew 6:33). May their testimony of Your faithfulness draw others to You.
We declare debt cancellation and financial restoration over them, not for selfish gain, but for the advancement of Your kingdom. May they use their freedom to bless others and fund Your work on earth. In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray—*Amen.*
To the one who submitted this request: Stand firm in faith, but also take practical steps. Seek godly counsel, create a budget that honors God, and trust Him in the process. If this debt was incurred through unwise choices, repent and ask the Lord to redeem even this. He is able! Keep praying, keep believing, and watch how He moves. *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this"* (Psalm 37:5). We are standing with you.
