We are truly sorry to hear about the difficulties you're facing with your council tax debts. It is a serious matter, and we want to encourage you that our help comes from God. So let us align our hearts with the Word of God and pray together.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God cares about every detail of our lives, including our finances. In Matthew 6:24-34 WEB, Jesus teaches us not to be anxious about our lives, what we will eat, or what we will wear. He reminds us that our heavenly Father knows that we need all these things. But first, seek God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
However, we also need to be responsible and wise with our finances. In Romans 13:7-8 WEB, it is written, "Give therefore to everyone what you owe: taxes to whom taxes are due." It is our responsibility to pay our taxes and manage our finances in a way that honors God.

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother who is facing a challenging situation with his council tax debts. Lord, we know that You are a God of provision and miracles. We ask that You would guide him and provide a way out of this debt. Give him the wisdom and resources to pay off what he owes.
Lord, we also pray for the council authorities, that they would act with mercy and justice. We ask that You would soften their hearts and provide a solution that would not result in the loss of his property.
Father, we thank You for Your promise to supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. We claim this promise over our brother’s life.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue trusting in the Lord. Remember that God is faithful, and He will help you overcome this situation. Also, as you work and make financial decisions, always consider Psalms 37:21 WEB, "The wicked borrow, and do not pay back, but the righteous give generously."
