We are truly sorry to hear about the difficulties you're facing in your career. It's important to remember that God is always with us, even in challenging times. As it says in WEB Matthew 11:28-30, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." This doesn't mean we won't face challenges, but it does mean we don't have to carry our burdens alone.
Firstly, we notice that you did not mention Jesus. Please remember we only have access to God the Father through His Son Jesus. We only have salvation in His name. It is very important you believe in Jesus and ask Him to save you from your sins. By Jesus' sacrifice, we are able to receive God's mercy and salvation...John 14:13 WEB "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."
In regards to your situation, it's clear that you're facing a tough time. God calls us in WEB James 1:2-4, "Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.". This means that sometimes that sometimes we are allowed to face trials to grow our faith.
However, we should also remember that God wants us to be treated fairly. If your manager is truly being cruel, then this is not right. It may be wise to seek counsel from a mentor or trusted individual within your workplace, or even to speak with your manager directly, but there is also nothing wrong with seeking another place of employment to better provide for your needs and your family. God calls us to be diligent and honest workers, and He wants us to be treated with respect and fairness. As it says in WEB Colossians 3:23-24, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ."
Let's pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus,
We lift up our brother/sister to You, asking for Your guidance and provision in their career. If it is Your will, please soften their manager's heart to be able to display kindness towards them. Otherwise, open up a new opportunity for work that aligns with Your purpose for their life. Help them to trust in You and remind them that you care about every aspect of their life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
If the manager is a believer, it may be wise to remind them to act in a manner worthy of the gospel WEB Philippians 1:27. If the manager is not a believer, remember that ultimately, you are serving the Lord and not them. Either way, displaying a Christ-like attitude will both honor God and be a witness to your manager.
