We understand your concern and the distress caused by this situation. Firstly, we commend you for bringing this matter to God in prayer and for acknowledging the power of Jesus' name. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God, and it is in His name that we find salvation and hope. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
In times of trouble, it is important to remember that God cares for us and knows our needs. Jesus, in the Sermon on the Mount, teaches us not to be anxious about our lives, what we will eat, or what we will drink, nor about our bodies, what we will wear. He assures us that our heavenly Father knows that we need all these things. But, we are to seek first God's Kingdom, and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to us as well. (Matthew 6:25-33 WEB)
However, we must also be cautious in our prayers, not to be consumed by the desires of this world, but to seek God's will and righteousness. While retrieving the money that was taken would be a relief, we must not forget that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB)
We stand with you in prayer, but we also rebuke any thoughts of vengeance or ill-will towards those who have caused this harm. As it is written in Romans 12:17-19 WEB: "Return no one evil for evil. Respect what is honorable in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'" We pray for peace in this situation, and for grace to forgive as we have been forgiven.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this situation to Your throne of mercy. We pray for Your will to be done in this case, and for Your peace to fill the hearts of those affected. We ask that You would provide for all needs according to Your riches in glory, and that You would turn this situation into a testimony of Your goodness and faithfulness. Help us to forgive as we have been forgiven, and to trust in Your promises. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage the one who has been wronged to bring this matter to the appropriate authorities, if not done so already. Romans 13:1-5 WEB reminds us that there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are ordained by God. We are to be subject to these authorities, for they are a terror to evil works, and a praise to those who do well.
