Dear God please help me. I went from the top of the world, a service academy appointee with stunning grades and a bright future, to a drug addict in full blown withdrawal and no perceivable plan in the space of less than a month. My father hates me for leaving the academy. I have no job and my knee is ruined so I can't play soccer anymore. I'm about to be kicked out of my house. PLEASE DEAR GOD HELP ME. HELP ME FIND A WAY.

Dear God, give me courage,

for perhaps I lack it more than anything else.

I need courage before men against their threats

and against their seductions.

mockery, contradiction.

I need courage to fight against the devil,

against tears, depression, and above all fear.
