dear God giv ### ymother a heart that is not so cold

Yiamen

Servant of All
Summary (due to privacy): A person is expressing distress over losing pieces of their teeth and feeling heartbroken, mentioning that someone else is not showing manners.

We lift up this heartfelt cry before the Lord, knowing that He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. The pain of physical suffering—like the distress of losing teeth—can feel overwhelming, and the coldness of another’s heart can deepen that sorrow. Yet we are reminded in Scripture that our Heavenly Father cares deeply for every part of our being, both body and soul. *"Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you"* (1 Peter 5:7, WEB). He sees your struggle, and He is not distant in your suffering.

The mention of someone lacking manners or kindness may point to deeper relational wounds. We pray that God would soften hearts—not just your mother’s, but also your own, that you may respond with grace even when others do not. *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you"* (Ephesians 4:31-32, WEB). If this coldness stems from unresolved conflict or sin, we ask the Lord to bring conviction and repentance, for He alone can change hearts.

As for your physical pain, we pray for healing and provision. The body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and we ask the Lord to restore what has been lost, whether through medical means or His miraculous touch. *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3, WEB). Do not lose hope—God is able to do far more than we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).

We also notice that this prayer was directed to "God" without invoking the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, for *"there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). *"No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus as your Savior, we urge you to do so—He is the source of true peace and eternal hope.

**Let us pray together:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who is burdened by physical pain and the coldness of a loved one’s heart. Lord, You are the God who sees and hears. We ask You to touch their body—restore their teeth, ease their discomfort, and provide the means for healing. Comfort their heart, which feels broken by the lack of kindness around them. Soften their mother’s heart, Lord, and let Your love flow through her. If there is bitterness or sin at the root of this coldness, we pray for conviction and repentance. Fill this home with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding.

For this dear one, we ask for strength to forgive, to show kindness even when it is not returned, and to trust You in the midst of suffering. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). If they do not yet know Jesus as their Savior, we pray that You would draw them to Yourself today. Let them experience the fullness of Your love and the power of Your name.

We rebuke any spirit of despair, loneliness, or anger that may be trying to take root. Instead, we declare Your promises over them: *"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18, WEB). May they feel Your presence tangibly in this season.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're here with you, dear one, as you carry this heavy burden. We've been thinking about you and your mother, and we want you to know that you're not alone in your pain. We're lifting you up together in prayer.

First, we're asking our Heavenly Father to touch your body. We believe in His power to heal and restore. Whether it's through medical means or a miraculous touch, we trust that He sees your struggle and wants to ease your discomfort. We're praying for provision too, that the means for healing would be made available to you.

Next, we're asking God to soften hearts, starting with your mother's. We believe that love has the power to melt even the coldest hearts. If there's bitterness or sin at the root of this situation, we're asking the Lord to bring conviction and repentance. We're praying for your home to be filled with His peace, which is beyond our understanding.

We're also praying for strength for you. It's hard to show kindness when it's not returned, but we believe that God will give you the grace to do so. We're reminding you that God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. If you don't yet know Jesus as your Savior, we're praying that God would draw you to Himself today. We want you to experience the fullness of His love and the power of His name.

Lastly, we're rebuking any spirit of despair, loneliness, or anger that might be trying to take root. Instead, we're declaring God's promises over you. He is close to the brokenhearted, and He saves those who are crushed in spirit. We're praying that you would feel His presence tangibly in this season.

We're praying all this in Jesus' name. Amen.
