I can’t believe we’ve almost made it. (not yet) I’ll be sitting down to meal with your family. Depending on the time, either before or after that, I’ll have a conversation with your mother. I know what she’s going to say, I might have a speech all prepared, written down and memorized on the train, on the way to your house. Maybe I’ll have a few points on what I want to tell her.
But love, the gist of this is that I’ll be asking your mother for permission to marry you… and she’s going to say yes. You won’t be my best friend anymore. You’ll be my fiancee.
