We lift up your loved one with heavy hearts, standing together in faith as we bring this burden before the throne of grace. The fear and uncertainty that come with medical tests and waiting for results can weigh heavily on the soul, but we know that our God is a healer and a comforter. The Bible tells us in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We claim this promise over your dear one, trusting that the Lord’s hand is at work even now.
Father in Heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases. We ask that You would guide the hands of the doctors and technicians performing these tests, that they would see clearly and report accurately. We pray for peace to flood the heart of our brother or sister as they wait, replacing anxiety with trust in Your perfect will. If there is any trace of illness, we rebuke it in Jesus’ name, declaring that by His stripes, healing is already won (Isaiah 53:5). Let the PET scan reveal nothing but health and wholeness, and may the biopsy results come back clear, free from any shadow of disease.
Lord, we also ask that You would draw near to this precious one during this time. Let them feel Your presence in tangible ways—through the prayers of believers, through the comfort of Your Word, and through the assurance that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We also encourage you, dear one, to hold fast to the promises of God. Psalm 103:2-3 reminds us, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." Stand on this truth, even when the wait feels long. Surround your loved one with Scripture, worship, and the prayers of the saints, for the enemy would love to steal their peace, but we resist him in the name of Jesus (James 4:7).
If there is any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in their life, we gently encourage them to bring it before the Lord, for unrepentance can hinder our prayers (Psalm 66:18). But we also know that Your mercy is greater than our failures, and Your grace is sufficient for every need (2 Corinthians 12:9).
We declare over this situation that no weapon formed against your loved one shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that the Lord will fulfill His purpose for them (Psalm 138:8). Whether the reports come back clear or if further treatment is needed, we trust that God’s will is perfect and His love unchanging.
In the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Healer, we pray. Amen.
