Dear All, I humbly request you all to intercede for a dear friend of mine, whom after a personal tragedy in her life, involving a close friend of hers, decided to reject God.

He (her friend), has been in a comma for some time and is near death due to severe drug abuse/addiction. He used to be a Christian before backsliding and turning to drugs. Though I don't know him personally.

She claims his 're-salvation' and deliverance is all she ever personally prayed to God for, now she decided she no longer needs God, because in her eyes, "God is cruel, sadistic even and lets suffering into peoples lives, without giving many of them a chance in life..(i.e children born into abusive poverty stricken homes or sex slavery)".

I don't know how to reach out to her without seeming like I am condemning her. I am praying and fasting about it.

All the people (who also happen not to know her) I have asked for specific advice seem to suggest she may have never been a real Christian in the beginning, due to these doubts she has. But knowing her personally, I know this is not true, she has a real kind heart of gold, one of those few people with a bleeding heart for those who are suffering, she has given her time and resources in the past to missionary work in the remotest areas of East Africa.

Of course, only God knows the heart of man (woman in this case). I believe this may just be a journey the Lord is taking her on, for His Glory. I will be meeting her on Saturday for tea and to talk to her. If God so wills, please pray that I may be able to reach out to her. That I may be able to find the specific scriptures and words of encouragement that may cut through the lies the enemy has planted into her heart and mind. Thank you and God bless you.

Father thank you for this prayer. Sometimes we think God is cruel because He doesn't seem to be listening or answering our prayers fast/soon enough. Most people who give up on God do it because they think that what seems to be unanswered prayer is the same as rejection from God. Your friend said all she prayed for was for her friend to be redeemed so how does she know God has not done it? Being in a coma might have been the very thing that saved this man's life & preserved his right standing with God. What if being in that coma was the very thing that saved his life from the drug use? Instead of seeing him battle with addiction, out there in the streets, hurting himself or dead, your friend gets to see her friend alive & well in a hospital bed, even though he can't speak, he's off drugs & alive!! He probably would have succumbed to the drug use along with all the guilt & shame that is tied to it but all merciful God took away the habit, the shame & gave her friend peace, something he probably never could find which is why he looked to drugs in the first place. So even when we think God is being cruel, know that God put all of His anger on Jesus & His desire for us is always for good even when our eyes can't see it. ~Blessings
